    one example is Convergys - you can start nesting on your retirement fund starting on your 6th month and you can start vesting the same on your 5th year. 50% of your basic salary x number of years of service yata *** bibibigay nila starting on your 5th year, with incriments of 10% per year of service up to the 10th year. nice dba?

    convergys ba yan? ang alam ko mababa lang daw sweldo sa convergys, tapos halos lahat ng mga agents dito mga 1 taon lang ang tinatagal.;

    as far as i can remember, nasa labor code naman na sa kahit anong trabaho, at basta nag-render ng proper resignation ay entitled ka na sa separation pay, equivalent to one month's salary for every year of service. iba pa yun ata dapat sa retirement pay.

    Retirement

    I think retirement package is not applicable in the call center industry. BPO industry attrition rate is the highest as compared to any industry in the Philippines (43%), and so retirement is not that applicable.Art. 287 of LCP is a govenment mandated benefits, well one has to reach the age of 65 to be eligible on this gov't mandated benefit, and the employee should have worked or rendered service for a 5 continuous year in the company. at the age of 65 you can also avail you retirement benefits from your social security fund.There are some BPO comapnies that offer retirement package equivalent to 50% of base pay multiply the No. of yrs. in service.The underlying question is, Is there anyone in Call center industry who can stay longer than 5 yrs? Most of the agents,according to study, stay only for less than 6 months. The PMAP, and your call center HR practitioners can attest to that. This issue has not yet been addressed, these managers don't even know the reasons why their talents are leaving, aside from the pay is the way they treat their employees.Everything is numbered, and is the management to blame. These industry should expand its benefits other than the basic pay and excellent facilities. They missed one thing which is the shuttle service. With the sky rocketing cost of transportation, it is high time for the western managers to look into this. This would surely reduce the soaring attrition rate in this industry. BPO pay on the other hand is not anymore as competitive as in the past. The inflation rate immensely affected the income of BPO employees, and the industry has not even adjusted the salary in the past 8yrs.

    for TeleTech employees availing of the early retirement plan (5 years employed with the company), here's the computation:

    base pay x no. of years x 1.4 = x vesting interest (.25)

    An OM in TeleTech roxas availed this early retirement plan. I think the OM got an amount not lower than 500K. not bad and the OM's age is just 28 yrs old.

    nag adjust naman ang salary pag nagkakaron ng minimum wage hike nyahahaha. alam mo naman sa callcenters it's all about the stats it's a numbers games everyone is expendable if you cant reach your goal.

    (20,000) ( 5 yrs.) (1.4) = (140,000 ) (0.25) = P 35,000

    If TAXABLE = 35,000 X 20% = 7000 tax due to BIR

    Retirement Package - Tax due to BIR = Retirement Pay
    35,000 - 7000 = P28,000

    The money looks good on paper, but high profile managers can easily earn this annually. Do the math and you can see that this om dude from teletech actually got miffed.
