I'm using BPI trade online. One time enrollment, then all the transactions are online. You can buy and sell stock during off hours, they will effect the transaction the next banking day.

This is "normal" for Pinas business attitude. It seems it is a privilege to use their services or buy their products!!! I am also US-based and my first few months here, I was complaining like crazy from my cable company to internet providers to SM salespersons to cashiers @ supermarkets to drivers to real estate agents to construction companies to delivery services to bank tellers to... you got the picture? he-he Customer service here does not exist as compared to the USA where the customer is ALWAYS right! Where the customer is KING!!! Here the customer is a nuisance and someone to get rid of. ha-ha

Now I simply walk away and find another company. If they are the only ones offering the service or products you need, you bite your lip and curse silently (joke lang). ha-ha

Yet Pinoys when they get overseas change their work ethics. They are transformed like magic! I hope we learn from being abroad and bring back the good traits with us to affect change, however, small. Like water dripping, it can carve a massive rock overtime.

Why are you opening a Pinas brokerage while in the USA? It is bad enough for people who are here. he-he The US markets are still the most active and the service I get from US-based brokerages like Charles Schwab is a breath of fresh air! I just talked to one @ 5am New York time. They are as courteous as ever even in the wee hours of the morning. There are also US-based brokerages that can buy foreign stocks for you in the local exchanges and you don't have to deal with foreign currency exchange. It is done automatically and electronically. Anyway, I'd stay with US markets for now. When the US Dollar finally dies, then we'll switch markets. Singapore? DAX? Who knows? ha-ha Brokerages like Interactivebrokers are already set to trade whatever markets of the world you wish to play ball with. Seamless electronic trading are bringing barriers down.

    Any thoughts on Citisec online?

  12. #30
I applied with Citiseconline last July 2010 and after three weeks it was approved. I transact live from 5.30 to 8.10 am dubai time. During those times I would say that I didn't experience any glitches in transacting online. If you are a first time investor, you could just stick the easy investment plan momentarily and then once you got the hang of it, you can trade live. As an investor who lives abroad, the drawback is the timing of trading. Some places may have the timings from 1am to 3.30 am thus the difficulty in trading live. That's off hours trading there. If you are buying stocks once a month, I think it wouldn't be a pain to sacrifice some hours for your future.

To be fair, I haven't tried other online trading although I already received some reports about it especially BPi trade. I am more than satisfied with Citiseconline services. Coupled with their research and analysis, and the outlook I'm thinking about my future investment, I can easily ignore the small things and move towards the bigger picture.

kung P25k ang in-invest mo, bahala ka kung ano gusto mo gawin sa cash mo. kung ano stocks gusto mo bilihin your choice, your risk.
