DON'Ts:

1. Give so much attention to looking good. Okay lang basic hygiene and grooming, pero kung nakakasagabal na, don't. Travelled on a short backpacking trip with a girl before, ****, nagpapayong coz ayaw maarawan, and may takong ang shoes.

uy...nahurt naman ako.. nagpapayong din naman ako pag super init talaga. pero kaya ko naman walang payong, pero if meron, papayong ako. but hindi ako yun tipong uuwi ulit ng hostel just to get my umbrella (unless if super lakas ng rain) but I never wear high heels. laging sandals, wrong kind lang nga binili ko kasi hindi masyadong comfy. yun 2nd day, nagkakakalyo na yun paa ko

yun mga nagbackpack to europe after graduating, how did you do it? MAlaki ba allowance nya that time? OR mega tipid talaga kayo on your allowance? KAsi naisip ko, even if nagtipid ako during my college days on my allowance, d ko pa rin afford yun europe trip. nagsisisi ako na I only found out about backpacking after I graduated, hindi tuloy ako nakapagipon, lahat napunta sa cinemas and Burking king hehehe

I'm not sure if this is applicable in your case since you live in the Philippines where the purchasing power is much lower than here in Canada. But anyway, I did a full-time coop/internship job for 1 year after my 3rd year of university and before my 4th and final year. So, I was able to save some money. Plus, I worked part-time during my 4th year which was a bonus. So after paying for my tuition, previous student loans, etc. (I paid for my own education), I had about $10,000 left in my bank account and decided it was the best time to go on a trip.

If you live and work in a developed country like the US, Canada, or Australia, then going on a backpacking trip is more about having the time rather than the money.
