Citibank Credit Card Users Thread

I do not quite get why we are required to submit income documents to upgrade to a "gold" card, when you own a classic card with a credit limit that is higher than some gold cardholders. Beda1746 said their "gold" card has 75k CL. My classic card's CL is 80k.

My dad's BPI credit card was automatically converted to gold after his CL exceeded 100k. I personally think that's how things should work.

^BPI is different from Citi. They do not automatically upgrade your card to gold if you hit the 100k credit limit mark. When I had my regular gold card, I requested for a downgrade of my limit to 65k which is the minimum for gold cards according to them. Then now I requested for conversion to PremierMiles and my limit is now over 150k. I think they only issue gold cards to those that meet the income requirement or whatever guidelines they have. Perhaps it is a status symbol for them. Did you know that even if you have 300k limit with Citi they do not automatically upgrade your gold card to platinum. You still have to submit pertinent documents.

Just wait, ako nga it took me more than 2 months to get my card....poor courrier service ang citibank but its worth to wait for long kasi ok naman ang citibank.

ayoko na ng citibank! pinagbayad nila ako ng annual fee! di ko na sya ginagamit. papa cut ko siya by january. ang sama talaga ng loob ko nung pinagbayad nila ako.

kaya pala napakagalante ng citibank sa mga promos nila ngayon. ubod din kasi sila pagdating sa mga revolver kung magbayad.

^ well, ganyan talaga ang cc. if you don't pay the entire amount due for the month, they're gonna charge you with ridiculous interest. So better pay in full lagi.

Okay naman ang Citibank. I've been a Citibank Gold Visa Member for 10 years now. Never had a problem with them, it's my main card when I go on vacation/travel abroad. Even now, kahit based na ako abroad, nagagamit ko pa rin ang Citibank card ko. Galante sila magbigay ng credit limit lalo na kung good credit holder ka. They have increased my limit to 350k recently without any request from me. I don't use the credit much but it's nice to know that there is this ready credit that you can turn to in times of emergencies.

^ Nung nag-apply ako eons ago for Citibank CC, Citibank took about a week to call and inform me that my application was approved. A week after that, na-receive ko na yung card ko.

Almost the same or baka mas malaki pa purchases ko, but my annual fee waive request was declined dahil wala daw silang promo that time. Pero palagay ko decline sya kasi may balance yung deferred purchases ko. 1st time kasi ito na decline waive request ko. Kaya make sure na tapos payment ng deferred purchases before card renewal. Reward points pinambayad ko.

^ Ah ganun ba. Wala akong history ng deferred purchases so nung nag-email ako about waiving the annual fee, sumagot naman sila through email din na approved yung request ko. Ganun lang ka-simple yung ginawa ko.

pero other promos depende dun sa validity ng redemption
period...

Hi.. just need to ask this.. I applied for Citibank Visa last May 2010 and i was approved, they said that i will receive the card within 3 days.. but i have not received it until now, it's been a week..

should i be worried? (well, i am..)
