At least you get to know your problem. Me, I dont know why i was being denied my cc applications. The cc companies wouldnt tell me the reason why my applications were denied . Anyway I heard this debit card with union bank. Maybe ill try it if the reveiws are good. They say i can use it anywhere in the world because its a visa card as well and you dont have to maintain any balance with the bank. As long you have a deposit with the bank you can use it anywhere. Nag plug ba . Thanks for the help.

I took the loan in PCI makati. The twin tower there. I dont know if BDO took over that branch. Its the main office of PCI then i think. Thanks for the help.

i was approved here even without applying for this, they said that they got referrals lang something like that, i just havent activated it yet.. i worked for citibank before, if you have adverse findings, they automatically disapprove your application.. ganun naman sa lahat e, even sa loan..sa eastwest mukhang maganda ang offer nila,, they called me about 2 months before dumating saking yung card nga lang.

Thanks for the info galactus. Actually the credit card issue is not my main concern. What really bothers me is my credit record. Since you are very knowledgeable in this matter, I would like to know your opinion ( more like confirmation actually) on how to clear my name in any credit bureau's data base. Is there any other way to erase my credit record aside from talking to the bank? And will the bank (BDO now) do that for me or i have to process things myself? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, you can submit a certification from the credit card company that you have fully settled your loan. But the thing is, credit bureaus GENERALLY do not automatically delete your name from their negative list database, even if you have fully paid. Mag-a-appear pa rin ang name mo, pero dun sa STATUS field, may nakalagay lang SETTLED. That's the bad news, and there is no workaround, AFAIK. I say generally, kasi as a policy, some credit bureaus only retain the NEGATIVE LIST for seven (7) years, tapos deleted na yung name mo, but they haven't been doing this for the longest time.

Also, hindi pala obligated ang CC company to tell you why your application was denied. Baka nagkataon lang na strikto yung approving officer, kasi DISCRETIONARY naman talaga ang pag-approve, although they have guidelines. Pag minimal amount lang naman yung utang, they can ignore the adverse findings.

up till now, di ko pa napapa-activate yung eastwest ko. pre-approved lang kasi and may other cards pa kong ginagamit. medyo magulo yung system nila ng application. naunahan pa akong padalhan ng card ng eastwest kesa dun sa dalawang officemate ko na nag-apply talaga at naunang inalukan ng agent, samantalang ako, tinaggihan ko sila pero nauna pa akong nakakuha ng card.

mukhang ok naman pala ang eastwest, mataas pa yung credit limit na binigay nila saken. sana nga may waiver sila ng annual fee for life.

just want to share my experience sa east-west credit card. . .Last monday, I was surprised because a bank officer called me to inform na dumating na daw yung credit card ko and wanted me to visit their bank to get it na daw. . dis afternoon, i asked the bank officer how come na nagkaroon ako ng CC na hindi naman ako nag-apply (kasi I have 3 CC na BPI, BDO, Metro).. .according to the bank officer, binibigyan daw nilang CC ang mga depositor nila. . medyo na curios lang ako kasi sa BDO and Metro, I am not their depositor. Although, I am a depositor of EW Bank pero na surprise lang ako sa gesture nila. . .
Is this also happen sa inyo? By the way, they gave me a Gold Card!!!! Hayyyyy, maka-bilanggo ito. . .temptation. . . right?

How much was your deposit in EWB, alliyah? I am also a depositor of EWB but I only opened an account after they gave me a pre-approved card (silver lang yung akin).

Gusto ko ng card na ito. Madami na kasi akong good feedback na nababasa tungkol dito. Sana magkaroon ako nito.

Sa ngayon, meron akong isang card. Citibank Gold Visa.

Sobrang tuwa ko kanina nung nareceive ko yung EW pre-approved card ko chaka at the same time, naweweirduhan ako haha.

Kasi nagapply ako sa agent tapos panay yung follow up ko dati. After 2 weeks nagtext yung agent na deny yung card application ko. Tapos last week pa pala ako tinext ng kasama ko na may credit card ako pero di ko nareceive text nya kasi bago na number ko hehe. Kaya kanina nakita nya ako sabi nya may credit card daw na pinadala. Akala ko naman credit card statement lang galing sa iba kong card. Kinapa ko yung envelope at tapos may card nga!

Ang weird lang kasi iba yung company ko pero nilagay nila dun na nagwowork ako sa company ng mother ko. Isa pang weird kasi may utang pa ako sa isa kong credit card pero di ko pa nababayaran na nag close na. Yung isa kong card na closed na din, yun yung una kong binabayaran muna kasi mas malaki utang ko dun. Kaya nagtataka lang ako na baka nasa negative list na ako o cmap pero buti nabigyan pa ako ng card. Hay pero lesson learned this time hindi ko na sasagarin ang credit limit ko promise )

Question lang pala sa mga nakakuha ng pre-approved card. Kasi kung iaactivate yung card, kelangan pa fill out yung customer information form pati photocopy ng valid ID. Ang tanong ko lang e nasa discretion pa ba nila yun kung iaactivate yung credit card o parang info lang for filing yung ifafax dapat na customer information? Pasensya na paranoid lang baka kasi mamaya hindi nila i-activate card ko huhu.

Tumawag ako dati for activation and the customer service officer told me that since my card was pre-approved, I needed to fill-out the info sheet because they need my signature. 2 days after I faxed the form, they called to inform me na activated na yung card ko. I think for formality lang yun. If they sent you a pre-approved card it's because you qualify their requirements. But that's only my opinion.

Oo talagang weird. Ako naman may credit cards 2 years ago pero na close na. Yung isa binabayaran ko, yung isa naman hindi pa kasi tinatapos ko muna bayaran yung isa at ayaw nila magbigay ng discount man lang. Anyway hindi ko alam san nila nakuha yung info tungkol sa paglagay nila ng company name ng mother ko. Kasi sa iba ako nagwowork hindi sa business ni mama.

Iniisip ko nga kung nasa cmap o bap na ako kasi di ko pa nababayaran yung isang card ko e.

Ah sabagay naisip ko din yun kaso paranoid lang ata ako haha! Sobrang excited kasi ako after almost 2 years wala akong credit card. Kasi nga naman din, magsasayang pa ba sila ng pera at oras sa pagsend ng card tapos idedecline lang sa huli hehe. My depocit is within the PDIC Insured amount lang. . . surprised nga talaga ako kasi now pa lang ako nagkaroon ng gold. .

Yup, this is what I use with my PayPal account. Lahat naman yata ng cc pwede sa PayPal basta VISA or MasterCard.
