Lost Card Protection will cover up to 50,000 pesos of unauthorized transactions made on your HSBC credit card w/in the 24-hour period before the card is reported as lost to HSBC.
Guys newbie here. Question lang sa credit protect plus. Wala ako nun, and no plans yet on availing (bad reviews from people).
May nabasa ko sa site nila na if lost, fraud transactions are covered by that credit protect. Bakit ganon, kung hindi ka nag avail nun ikaw ang magbabayad ng fraud transactions kahit ireport mo w/in 24hours?
Under the Terms and Condition naman sa site:
9. Loss of the Card
In case of loss or theft of the CARD, the CARDHOLDER shall immediately report such fact to the ISSUER, giving details of the place, date and circumstances of the incident and the last purchase(s) made prior to the loss or theft. The liability of the CARDHOLDER for all purchases and/or cash advances made through the use of the lost or stolen CARD shall cease only upon verbal notification by the CARDHOLDER to the ISSUER. A card replacement fee shall be charged to the CARDHOLDER to cover replacement of the CARD and the costs in disseminating information about the loss or theft.
And how about protection of fraud transactions online? (ex. Hacked, fraud online purchases)

hi kanino po kayo ako pwde mag follow up ng application. everytime i called their hotline wala pa daw silang na rereceive na application from me although me tumawag na sa akin last week para mag CI.
Haydee replied to me yesterday regarding my application questions, asking "the name of my company and what is my job title". I then told her I'm a CSR from a BPO company. She replied: "Unfortunately call center agents are not qualified to apply for an HSBC credit card due to limited contactability". Hello fair lending![]()

may tumatawag sa pinagtatrabauhan namin eh, agent ata ng hsbc nag alok ng credit card. madali ba maapprove pag ganun?
Sad to say but most of our banks are also following that kind of policy. They automatically declined application with CSR as job title. Although meron namang banks ***** na very lenient when it comes to that. That is because maraming CSR na kumuha ng card dati na hindi nakakabayad tapos palipat lipat pa ng company. Sila rin mismo nagpaabuso nun dahil dati pag CSR ka automatic approve and you have a CL na twice or thrice as your salary pero ngayon pahirapan na.
ano ba requirements in applying? pwede ba dito sa hsbc na wala ng submit ng ITR,COE,etc. just inform them na i have 2 CC's already with 60k CL EACH?And also my Bank accounts and Time Deposits?what are the chances naman kaya?thanks
Banks have different criteria sa pag approve at pagbigay ng CL. Pwede nilang tapatan or pwede silang magbigay ng initial CL then if ok na yung payment mo tataasan nila agad yung CL mo.
Base on my experience if you are a good payor meaning walang late payment and delinquencies sa payment then chances are 90% approval at me chance na double pa dun yung CL mo but if you are opposite to that then 50-50 chance. Kaya importante talagang alagaan ang card kahit hindi makakabayad ng buo atleast yung minimum payment lang at laging on time ok na yun, good as good na yun.![]()

Thanks for keeping this thread still alive and kicking. I am not personally connected with HSBC ok :-), I just created this thread kasi pansin ko na walang exclusive HSBC forum dito thats why I created this thread.
Hindi man tayo nakakatulong personally pero sa pamamagitan nitong thread na ito ay marami tayong natutulungan na mga card holders including me plus yung mga may balak mag apply.

True. Nung asa callcenter pa ako at nagapply ako sa hsbc,sabi daw banned daw yung callcenter namin. hehe. dami daw kasi hindi nagbayad.
Now hindi na ako employed sa callcenter, super dali apply. Binigyan ko lang sila ng statement of account ng isang creditcard na may utang ako at binabayaran ko yung interest...ayun, 200k agad CL. hehe. Mautak din mga yun, if alam nila nagbabayad ka ng interest, tinataasan pa nila yung credit limit mo.now 400k na yung CL ko.
As i always tell my friends, get one in case of emergency. Hindi naman masama ang card as long as tama ang paggamit. One time payment or at least pay the minimum. Avoid overspending than what you have financially and discipline yourself. The card will turn out to be an advantage.
Sana ang mga nagapply ng hsbc eh hindi matetemp sa high credit limit.
One thing i hate about HSBC are the passwords. I use the card more for online payments. Super dami passwords na kailangan tandaan sa hsbc.
May password na primary and secondary. May password pa sa verify visa. It became hassle than a benefit for added security. Mas maganda if magrelease sila ng virtual credit or ecredit.
