Maging mapagmatyag at alerto.

It's already a given that many civil rights groups, fraternities, and NGOs have been penetrated by reds, but what are you going to do about it? These guys have rights too and you just cant shoot them for their political beliefs.

Rose Anne should've known better and at some point she probably did. It's not like somebody will run to you with a red stamp, stamp you by surprise and then youre already an NPA. You get talked into you. You let yourself get talked into it. In the end it's really up to the person to know what's right and wrong.

    p.s.
I still think communism is a dead ideal, but I won't really waste my time pushing that kind of belief around here.

But the problem was, Rose Ann didn't. So it's good to have these kinds of warning.

And unfortunately, the Commission of Human Left is siding Gumanoy's mom to boot Rose Anne out of the military hospital, despite of the latter's condition.

Their mother Maria apparently sought the intervention of the International Committee of the Red Cross, but it seems the ICRC decided to let the sisters remain in the custody of the Philippine Army. The Army says it is willing to release Fatima to the custody of the DSWD and Rose Anne to the CHR, not to their mother. Fatima reportedly prefers to stay with Rose Anne because she is afraid that if she is returned to her mother, she will be forced to join in subversive activities by Karapatan.

I have seen young people being persuaded to leave their normal life just to join the rebel groups in the mountain. As if that would institute positive change.

It's difficult when in the end, they come to me and tell that they have taken the wrong path with such decision. I've try to dissuade them but it's their right to know the truth. Now, they are taking the consequences for not finishing their degrees because they opt to join a group which has no valid purpose.

These fronts of the NPA are the main reasons why there are civilians who are influenced to go against the government and join the leftist groups. Gabriela, did it really advocate women's rights? I cannot remember any piece of legislation it promoted publicly. It is known for street protests together with Bayan, Bayan Muna, Akbayan, and Anak Pawis. The latter groups, I have not heard any important piece of legislation supported or sponsored by these groups.

Rose Ann Gumanoy left Karapatan because she realized the group was not for her and that it only used her so it can fight the government and advance the interests of its comrades in the mountains. These leftists should be eradicated from earth before all our children are taken to be their members.

Well, she is just an illustration of how these young minds can be manipulated by these purporting nationalistic groups. Indeed, patriotism is a virtue. But we should not be mistaken with patriotism and communism being the same. After all, the love for country does not mean we should embrace the communist ideals as well. Not when they are just being used for the benefit of the few.

Imagine the future that's wasted because they have just diverted the life of the young people in something unproductive. Would their call for "revolution" really prosper if the people don't really want it? It's useless and baseless at the very least.

JoRed's friends like to "start them young". Mas madali nilang mauuto because of the idealism of the youth. The next moment the kids find themselves waving banners they only have the slightest idea about. Many suffer lives of deprivation in the mountains, constantly running from bullets, or worse, living off the locals like parasites, harming the very people they claim to be promoting the welfare of.
