is it true that the Jollibee freebie is only for receipts from nov. to january 15,2009?? sayang naman kasi i had several purchases from jan. 16 to jan.31!! kainis. i was not here kaasi from dec.29-jan.15.

i was called up by BPI last Nov to avail of a credit card, since walang annual fee for the first year, i got it na. then just yesterday, i used it to purchase tickets via cebupac website (first purchase using the card). only a couple of hours later, tinawagan ako ng BPI to verify na i really made the purchase. nice!

i don't remember my other card issuers calling me when i first used the card for a big purchase.

kung meron lang silang parang mabuhay miles ng HSBC, i think i might switch. =)

Ito ang inapplyan kong credit card just last weekend. First time kong mag-apply. Sana di ako ma-deny!! (ilang months pa lang ako sa work, pero may mga savings account naman ako sa kanila. I'm betting on those for them to decide to grant me cc!)

Question, yung BPI WorldPerks cc ba ay available thru BPI Express Start? And anyone knows kung paano ang procedure sa pag-convert ng BPI secured card to regular? After one year of good credit standing, pwede na ba mag-request na i-convert? O kailangan pa din ng usual documents required for credit card application, like ITR/W2? (Ang hirap kasi mag-produce ng ITR/W2 on my part. Our company auditor is suuuper busy. Last month ko lang nakuha ang 2007 W2 ko.)

hay naku ang secured card ng bpi mabilis ka maaprove pero ang bagal bago ma convert into regualr card. last december pa nag mature yung akin hanggang ngayon still in process pa din. although winaived nila yung annual fee pero sabi ko ayoko ng ituloy, since mababa credit limit. yun pinasubmit ako ng itr at payslip tpos 2 weeks processing, ttignan kung pwedeng magrant yung credit limit request ko. hahay!!!

But to be honest, if you're looking for a low interest card, go for Eastwest Credit Card. Ito yung matagal ko na gustong applyan but since I'm unemployed right now, malabo ata mangyari sa ngayon. They have 2.25% interest rate on food, gas, drug store purchases while 2.75% on other purchases. Ang baba diba compared to 3.25% or 3.5% interest? But still, I haven't tried their services pa so I can't fully guarantee whether this is the card that's right for you.

Nevertheless, BPI finance charge is computed starting from the statement date not starting from the date of purchase as with most other credit cards. So you get up to 30days finance charge free (if you purchased the day after your statement date since it would be posted next statement pa na saka palang magstart mag charge sila ng finance charge). I dont know about how Eastwest credit card compute their finance charge tho.

In other words, BPI only applies finance charge to your previous month's balance, and not on new purchases in your latest statement balance. Sa ibang card companies kasi kapag may balance ka the previous month at ginamit mo card mo, sa next statement mo may finance charge na din yung bagong binili mo. Sa BPI hindi ganun, and that's what makes BPI credit cards unique.

I have a BPI Blue Mastercard. So far okay naman ang BPI kase maraming freebies especially from Jollibee, greenwich and goldilocks... Nainis lang ako dati kase ang tagal bago makakonek sa express phone nila... 15 minutes na akong nag iintay pero wala pa ring customer service officer na available that time...

I just noticed that they upped the amount you need to spend to gain 1 point. From 25 pesos it's now 35 pesos.
