Did you apply for a secured credit card? If you did, maybe you will be approved. If you applied for a regular credit card, this is not an assurance of an approval.
Hi! Newbie here! Cute ng thread. I actually joined PEx because of the BPI CC Users Thread
Anyway,
After 4 days, nag text sakin yung girl na pinasahan ko asking me to submit 1 month payslip for fast approval daw, then that day nagpasa din ako. 2 days after may tumawag sa bahay and nakasagot nun si Mama ko. She's from BPI daw and asked my full name, verified my home address and my mama's maiden name. After 5 days, Nag follow up ako ng application ko thru email.

gano kaya katagal bago malaman kung approved or declined?
thank you sa sasagot.

^actually hindi pa yan sign na approved ka na. humihingi lang sila ng ibang supporting documents to verify your income. tapos nun i-CI ka pa nila...![]()
Hi PEXers,
It's my first time here...and actually i have some concerns about BPI credit card.I dont know much about credit cards so if you could share to me answers to some of my questions...
Mga fews years back, pinasign up kc ako ng BPI to get a credit card. Ako naman no idea about it and parang astig lang kc na merong credit card although di ko ginagamit, kaya nag sign up na rin ako. then meron nang sinisingil na annual fee kaya i asked them to cancel it, pero it still appears in my BPI expressonline account so i guess di nila cinancel.
My questions is, pag inactivate ko ulit, and this time gusto ko na cyang gamitin, may charges ba yun? And pwede ko bang ipa-waive yung annual fee if meron akong deposits and investments sa BPI?
Also...hehe medyo newbie tong tanong ko...sensya na i have no idea kc.May interest charge ba sa babayaran ko if i use it? Ang sabi daw wala if i pay in full and on time. If that's the case, pano kumikita yung bangko sa mga taong on time and full magbayad? **just wondering**
Thanks po in advance for the clarifications.
Mabuhay!

- You can call 89-100 and ask them to cancel the annual fee since you are not using the card anyways but by the time you use it, you have to pay for it. If your credit card transactions reach 200K+ a year you can also request for the annual fee to be waived. I also have a regular savings, a TD and an investment account with BPI but I'm not sure if they're being considered in waiving the annual fee. As per the call center agent, it's the amount of transaction in a year daw.
- NO interest charges if you pay all your purchases in full and on time.

Pwede mo pa ipa-reactivate yung account within one year from cancellation, pero kailangan nang palitan ng bagong card so may card replacement fee yan. Possibly they will also require you to pay the annual membership fee.
Any one of those lang naman talaga ang requirement ng BPI. Nag-CI sila agad then a week later dumating na yung card.

Hi
my opinionated answer:
any credit card na ACTIVE kahit hindi mo ginagamit ay may annual fee kang babayaran...kung pina Close mo na then wala kna dapat future annual fees after mo pina close so any annual fee it incurred while the credit card was active yun ang outstanding balance mo sa card na dapat mong bayaran (dun sila kikita) , generally pwede mo naman ipa wave yung annual fee at generally papayag naman sila kung hindi mo naman ginamit yung credit card. tawagan mo sila and tell them " i want you to wave the annual fee coz i haven't been using the card" pero kung balak mo ipa activate at may balance ka sa card na annual fee then malamang bayaran mo muna yun para mapa activate nila ulit yung credit card mo...
hope this helps...
try to ask the teller how much yung outstanding balance mo. or better yet, you can view it online if you have bpi online account. tapos yun yng bayaran mo. or pwede ka din naman magoverpayment nalang. ako multiple times in a month nagbabayad. 10K lang credit limit pero sometimes more than 30k+ nasswipe ko since I pay almost as soon as I swipe. di ko na pinapaabot the due date. everything's done online kaya di na pumipila
the best talaga online facility ng BPI!!! <3<3<3
Pano pala maglinis ng Credit card? As in yung physical na card, pano sya best (and safe) na linisin?
Hi,
Meron ako secured card ng BPI edge, it has been 3 years pero di ko n inapply ng regular cc. BDO sent me a pre approved regular cc and yun na ang gamit ko ngayon. I went to BPI branch last week and yun customer service recommended n pwede ako mag fill up ng form at pwede ko i request n i convert into regular cc together with a letter of request. It will take 30 days and if approved pwede ko n daw m withdraw yun time deposit n 10k and m re retain yun 8k ko n credit limit.
However mas preferred ko n kasi yun BDO and babalik n lang ako dun s branch para i cancel n lang ulit. Meron ako savings account s BPI pero ginagamit ko solely for remittance. Mahigpit b talaga ang BPI s card approval or nagbibigay din sila ng pre approved cards pag may malaking saving s kanila? TIA.
If you can convert your BPI credit card into a regular credit card, mas maganda po.
Yung card ko sa kanila was preapproved by the way.![]()
