That is why I reply to pundit's post with due respect and not disrespect. Harsh, maybe, but never disrespectul.

Truth be told, I have agreed with pundit on several occassions over the years just as I have differed with his/her opinions also but did not feel strongly enough to post my agreement or disagreement. In this case above, I just wanted to bring out the facts surrounding the RP Youth players' not playing in their respective leagues this season.

Also, it may surprise everyone that I AGREE WITH PUNDIT that the DLSU Green Archers will struggle this season just to get into the Final Four. Remember, 7 of the 8 teams in the UAAP, IMHO, are contenders for a Final Four slot and I even see a tie or even a triple tie for the fourth and final slot. That is how even the quality of competitions are in the UAAP this year. If you ask who I think is not a contender for a Final Four slot, with all due respect to my UP friends, I don't think their team is prepared to make a Final Four run. Maybe in two years when their very versatile Fil-Am has already fulfilled his residency requirements. Aren't those residency requirements for Filipinos who, by no choice of theirs, grew up abroad just a pain?!? I do believe, however, that UP will pull some upsets and that those upsets will help determine the Final Four cast.

Lastly, allow me to say that UE has a better chance of winning the UAAP Championship this year than they had last year, the 14-0 streak notwithstanding. This year's team is an all-natural Dindo team which he has molded since each player started playing for UE. No carry overs or transferees from other coaches or teams. All solid Dindo picks who have his system in their blood. Sure, they may not replicate their 14-0 record but they are stronger as a core team than any other team. My opinion only, of course.
sorry to disagree with your observations bro, but I salute you for your act of charity . . . indeed, you are a true christian gentleman!

hope your generosity of spirit would have a positive and lasting effect even on those who have never known the meaning of the word kindness . . .

I sense internal strife. Green vs. green....

    Cool

No strife here. Green vs. Green is a favorite past time of us alumni. No 'company line' for us. Each one is entitled to his/her opinion.

Jeffjan, as to who the additional names are, they are Paolo Rodriguez from LSGH and Manoj Chandumal from DLS-Z. Now as to who will compose the Final 16, like I said, the coaching staff will decide on the very last day for the submission of final line-ups. By then, we should have a clearer picture on the status of our various injured players.

Interesting development. Manoj Chandumal was part of the 2005 Junior Archers team. A teammate of Simon Atkins, Migs de Asis and Martin Reyes during their championship run in 2005. He played the two position when he was a junior Archer.

If I remember correctly he was voted MVP in a Fil-Indian League last year or a few years back.

About Rodriguez, what position does he play and what year did he suit up for the LSGH greenies?

is pundit a he or a she?

    go archers go!

    Sharks depose Kings in FIBL
    Sunday, June 22, 2008

The Filipino Indian Basketball League (FIBL) capped another banner season with the 2008 Goodwill Cup. New faces. New line-ups. New venue.

This is FIBL commissioner Dilip Budhrani’s affirmation of the league’s responsibility and commitment to the Filipino-Indian community to continue to foster goodwill, camaraderie, family bonding and sportsmanship through the games.

Budhrani made the games more competitive. The top draft picks – Ravi “The Battery” Gurnamal, Mukesh “The Silencer” Mohnani, Manoj “The Surprise” Chandumal and rookie Ajeet “The Aviator” Singh – each spearheaded their respective team’s crusade for the championship.

    .
Blue Sharks’ Manoj Chandumal ran off with the most trophies – MVP plum, including No. 1 in assists, steals and interceptions, Mythical 5, defensive team, MVP of the championship and team champion.

    impressive.

ang kulet all of the players have their own nicknames. "The Surpise" and "The Battery". haha sa UAAP ba meron? si "The Ninja" and "Captain Hook" lang yung alam ko na ok. yung kay James Yap nung PBA na nya nakuha.

meron akong kilala na Chandumal, commercial model siya nung sa close-up (yung may bike) and isa sha sa jolibee commercial ng cheeze fries (ata)
