Filoil: UE def. DLSU, 67-65.
What happened to Marata? Is he still part of the team?
Well this is a bummer. I hope they get into shape when they face Ateneo. They might lose the war but what's important is that they win the battle that counts)
unfortunately, Marata was very inconsistent. Sometimes he was good, a lot of times he couldn't make shots. Good guard play is very important and I think, Teng and Tallo are more consistent and tougher.
the team will try to bounce as they will face the Perpetual Help Altas at this afternoon's Filoil games.
the Junior Archers will face the Letran Squires at a game later tonight at 6:00PM.

Mapua def. La Salle, 67-61.
with DLSU losing to MIT earlier, DLSU, UST and CSJL are now tied at 3rd place, each bearing a 4-3 win-loss record, at Team A.
^ but everything will still depend on how those three teams will perform. we will have Ateneo as our last opponent while Letran will face San Beda last and UP will be UST's last opponent. mukhang UST ang may edge sa sitwasyon na ito but we'll see.
still, i believe that our focus should be on our real goal. what is more important to us, winning a preseason title or winning the title that matters most? so far, marami pang dapat ayusin sa team but everything is possible kung gugustuhin natin and if God will allow things to happen.
oh, by the way, baka hindi makapaglaro si Tallo sa game natin against Ateneo on Saturday. this was because he was charged with a disqualifying foul and was ejected after getting into a brawl of some sort with Andretti Stevens of Mapua.
it was actually texted to me by one of those who watched the games live yesterday. to verify, i checked out the Twitter accounts of some journalists who covered yesterday's game against Mapua. yes, pare-pareho lang sila ng sinabi.
but there's still hope. sana hindi i-suspend si Mac pero depende pa din yan sa decision nina Aric del Rosario at Ato Badolato, the assigned commissioners for this year's Filoil games.

The Mapua Cardinals, you’ll never know what you’re gonna get.
The have one of the most balanced line ups on paper and yet they are the most disappointing, inconsistent bunch in the preseason. Despite their looming status at the bottom, today, they played like a playoff team.
They Cardinals had made it miserable for the De La Salle Green Archers as they face UAAP arch-rival, the Ateneo Blue Eagles on Saturday, June 2, 2012 with a sudden triple tie for fourth in Group A.
La Salle took off to an early 7-2 lead in the 1st quarter. Josan Nimes established an 8-0 Mapua run to take the lead, 10-7, with 2:16 minutes left.
Back to back baskets by Jeron Teng made it 10-all. After a 2nd deadlock at 12-all by Joshua Webb, Andretti Stevens gave the Cardinals a 14-12 lead at the close of the 1st period.
A 3-point conversion by Jarelan Tampus plus a basket by Norbert Torres at the 2:48 minute mark of the 2nd quarter has put the Green Archers on top, 26-24. From there it was a dogfight.
In the final minutes of the 1st half, Nimes and Kenneth Ighalo combined for 9-points to put the Cardinals in the driver’s seat, 32-28.
Stevens and Mark Tallo got into an altercation with 8:35 minutes left in th 3rd period and were both slapped with disqualifying fouls including a possible suspension.
A 7-0 run by De La Salle has tied the ball game once again at 46-all with 2:34 minutes remaining.
In the 4th quarter, Mike Parala’s 6 straight points plus two free throws from Ighalo, sparked an 8-0 run for a 6-point cushion, 64-58, with 18 seconds left.
A three-point play by Papot Paredes at the 10 second mark was an opportunity for the Green Archers to steal the game but Nimes and Jonathan Banal converted 3 of 4 of their Free Thrown to seal the game for the Cardinals.
MIT 67 – Nimes 15, Parala 13, Ighalo 12, Saitanan 11, Banal 6, Estrella 4, Brana 4, Abad 2
DLSU 61 – Torres 10, Teng 9, Webb 8, Vosotros 7, Revilla 5, Andrada 4, Dela Paz 4, Mendoza 3, Tampus 3, Tallo 2, Herrera 2, Reyes 1
congratulations to Jeron and the rest of the team!
because of our win, we're up against Abueva and the Stags. wishing you guys the best on Wednesday.
we've only just begun. we know what our real goal is. i'm sure that they have scouted us like crazy so be prepared for that as we go on with our journey towards our real goal.
