Hehehe but im not the type who would judge someone by his/her school

What edge?

End result is what we have right now, high marks in terms of employment. And it don't mean we get hired because we have our own businesses at home.

    Naks! Sabi ko nga eh!

iz_zie7 - same thing applies to the other schools. They have their fair share of transferees and the not-so-smart people studying in their schools. One thing I find unfair at this day and age is that some of us believe in the stereotypes and the inutile teachers and students from highschool or other schools propagate this mentality has created a consistent image which your older siblings in CSB have thrashed year in year out. Nevermind the awards that some of the Benildeans have achieved over the years, nevermind that we are growing as an institution that provides better facilities and better teachers, nevermind that we excel not just in academics but in sports as well. Just believe that we are inferior? I beg to differ.

Like I said before, if you have self-esteem issues with your school then I guess it's time to visit your nearest guidance counselor. It's not the institution that will get you the job, you have to earn it for yourself.

streotypes nga e, you have to be in csb so know if its true or not, and those streotypes are in a way there but it doesnt mean that im putting down the school, csb has the best facilities and produces competitive graduates peace altarboy! (im from benilde ***!) i just wanna see how people will react to the typical stereotype

If you wanna know how people react to the stereotypes. Ask your older brothers and sisters personally in the corporate world. Honestly, it's getting irritating to ask about reactions year in year out. You defend or present good merits about the school but they fall on deaf ears and just see more crabs. Oh, and do try to watch an NCAA game where the opponent jeers your school to the max. Especially in a finals game of basketball. Such impressions are hard to break.

It actually becomes quite tiring and irritating everytime we have to explain our side to someone. It's the same arguments over and over again. Remember Chucky Manio

Say whatever they want! I can buy whatever I wish kasi may work ako!) sila ba mayroon? gawin na lang nilang CAREER ang panlalait sa CSB. sana yumaman sila dun. hahaha!!!( di kasi makakuha ng totoong career ang iba.)

i got kicked out from dlsu and transferred to benilde. i was an ece. then bsba-ca. ok naman ang benilde, masaya. d mo masyado kelangan magaral. comparing the curriculum of csb to dlsu, it's not that good. i dunno maybe it's just me.

kasi when i was in csb. i didn't need to study tapos mabilis lang pumasa. wala akong ginawa kung hindi gumimik lang. tapos i was lagging 1 yr kasi nga nasipa ako sa lasalle. what i did was i took summer classes and arranged all my irreg classes para tuloy tuloy.palagi ako nagoverload sa 1 sem parang 21 or 24 units ata yun. i only ate lunch and mirienda during the 10 or 15 min break during classes. anyway nahabol ko naman yun 1 yr ko and graduated on time. no fail. gumawa lang kami ng sales and inventory thesis. and we even paid a programmer to do our thesis. tapos syempre bola bola sa panel. eexplain naman kasi ng programmer how the program works.

dami ka rin makilala and mapractice mo kung pano makisama. dami pang magaganda. naging kaklase ko pa si bianca araneta. well interpersonal skills din naman yun. and it's very important. one of the skills that you'll learn here is yun nga, interpersonal skills. the school trains you on how to be confident by teaching you public speaking and of course by making friends. benilde has a very friendly population. mabilis lang makakilala kahit anong course pa sila or department. yun mga presentation sa classes using, OHP, notebooks, tv and vhs. malaking tulong yun. baka nga ngayon dvd na. kung tutuusin, nung time ko daig pa nila yun dlsu when it came to classroom equipment or presentation materials. every classroom had an ohp,tv,vhs. nung nasa dlsu ako, we had to reserve all those equipment.

well those were the good times. yun mga ibang irreg classmates ko, some were barkadas, pumapasok sabog. yun iba namumula, mga amoy alak. pumapasok lang para sa attendance hahaha. tapos there was this time na may pumasok amoy marijuana naman. tapos yun mga couples naman, alam mong galing motel kasi basa yun buhok nilang pareho and of course amoy motel. yun mga nagtitipid naman sa kotse nalang ginagawa. mga heavy tinted, naka aircon, tapos yumuyugyug yun kotse. ginawa pa ng isang classmate namin, (ibang group sila magkakarbarkada) hinawakan nila yun kotse para hindi obvious na yumuyugyug. it was fun. masarap ang college life dun. pero we all have to work din naman na.

may favorites prof were, aldaba, bautista, pimentel, agoylo. forgot the other names. ok yun mga bading na prof kasi mabilis landiin. tapos kainuman pa namin yun mga ibang prof.

there's this story. kwento ng kabarkada ko. sa class nila, medyo nahihirapan yun ibang students sa isang prof, well anyway it was a math subject. lumalapit yun magagandang babae or kahit d ata maganda. tapos pinapakitaan ng cleavage. pag sulat sa test paper mataas na yun score.

nag fencing varsity pa kami ng mga kabarkada ko. trip trip lang. but we enjoyed the perks. we were able to enroll the subjects and times we wanted kasi una kami kesa sa mga regular students. minsan masmaganda pa yun schedule namin sa mga regular or block sections kasi minsan yun schedule nila may break ng 2-4 hrs.

i remember another story. it was from the prof's mouth. sa ibang schools daw pag nahuli daw ng prof yun student na nag ccheating binabalikan daw ng students yun prof tapos binabanatan daw. sa CSB daw hindi. kasi yun colleague nila nahuli yun student nya nag ccheating so he failed him. what the student did was denemanda nya yun prof. and the result was nanalo pa yun student.

marami naman ako kilala from ece.( my ex was from there that got transferred) and his ece friends. nag iiiyak kung na R sa class cards. naka tambay sa faculty room . nag mamakaawa.

It's the same rhetorics all over again. I can share with you nice and not-so-nice stories inside the institution but it will all boil to one thing, you make a name for yourself outside and no amount of bola will get you the job just because you graduated from the top 3 schools kung ang attitude mo eh equivalent to 0.0 grade. Cherish the good memories and laugh about the mistakes along the way. Again, it all boils down on how you guys enjoyed your stay in your school and nevermind about the personal problems of other students. We do not monopolize this negative image, never forget that. The reflection of excellence is distorted dahil pino-propagate niyo ang old skool mentality.

One more thing, the fact that CSB entertains kickouts from other schools does not mean the kickout student is inferior, but lacks the assessment to gauge his/her other intelligences. And now we go to the theory of multiple intelligences. So the logic is, walang bobong tao, meron tamad at marami yan hindi lang sa CSB.
