most of the benildeans are rich
Rich at super rich (nasa tuktok ng tatsulok)
Ive met say around 5 or more benildeans, A ramp model(forgot his name, An HRIM grad(karen), carlo nadal(kitchies bro), ven, jeff, lester, lea, mishy, eldrige, rachelle, and a professor.
And all of them are downright KIND!!HUMBLE!!sarap kasamang friends sa gimik.
not to be rude...pero kahit mga old guys eto ang sinasabi
"tapunan ng la salle ang csb"
but i have friends there. 10 to be exact. 3 of them are into interior design and 7 of them all HRM students. i can't exactly say their stupid. they weren't the cream of the crop, but their not stupid.
not to be rude, but a small sample of a population doesn't exactly make them all (benildeans) nice and down to earth.
hey man, nope sowee, only carlo - when we hang around at his place in makati out a town sibs niya e, i met his folks tho, quite nice couple.
i have a story,,,,,
i had a fwend fr interior design dept ng UST fine arts, me being an advertising stud fr the other dept, we hung out alot particularly during sketch classes in the morn along the 2 fountains of UST(u could see us along espana, when ur driving), when her father noticed that the way she laughed was like a hornbird during one of their dinners her father said "bakit ganyan ang tawa mo?yan ba nakukuha mo sa friends mo fr UST?" and immediately her father xferred her to CSB but her laugh stayed the same.....so parang "duh" *** situation. la lang kakatuwa lang.
this is true.

muntik ko na di magets kung lalaki ba o babae *** tinutukoy mo pre. his father and the way she laughed ako naguluhan. pero babae *****.
kung tama pagkakagets ko: wala sa school ang ugali ng tao. nasa tao mismo ang ugali ng tao.
^oo nga e, inedit ko nga 4u, hehe.
i dont think that its fair to say that...although theres a little truth in it...still maraming courses esp HRIM ang maganda sa benilde compared to other schools..and Benilde now is the creative school of LaSalle..so id say saying na tapunan ng LaSalleManila ang CSB is so passe
bagsakan ng mga bagsak.
obob.
super duper rich.
coñiotic.
Benilde's image is what was DLSU-M's image in the 70's/80's.
Same logic applies to a small population doesn't exactly make all Benildeans stupid and spoiled rich brats who brag too much about nothing.
The stereotype about CSB (dumping ground) was long gone after 10 years of existence as an independent college and when students from Night School, HRIM, Interior Design, and Industrial Design were making waves in their respective fields. And every school has that stereotype that is best fought with excellence in academics, sports, extra-curricular, and entertainment. This topic is passe to say the least.
If we dwell too much on the origin of the negative image of CSB, we might as well resort to the fact that we have self-esteem issues that need to be addressed long before we stepped into college or never had the choice of entering the other colleges that we chose. Be proud of where you are and you learn good values from every environment that you enter. It just so happens that CSB is offering non-traditional courses, it doesn't mean we are less of a student than those who took up traditional courses in the top 5 universities. The fact that we are second in terms of employment rate to UP means this college is doing something good in the long run.
And remember, the professors that teach in CSB are the same teachers that teach in those universities that we try to emulate in terms of excellence. So you can't say that the stereotype is still there. It all depends upon you, the student/product. But if you are stuck in a timezone where the rejects and transferees abound, I pity you for your lack of foresight and confidence.![]()
Nuff said!
I'll give my office as an example to show how benildeans are excelling. Im working at a US based mortgage company(long explanation but to make it short, we lend americans money to buy houses). I was part of the 1st batch of employees that entered this company together w/ 2 other benildeans. 1 yr and 4 mos later, one of the benildean is now our deputy manager/branch manager while me and the other benildean are now senior underwriters(underwriters approve and reject loan applications). The three of us hold 3 of the top positions in the office. ANIMO BENILDE!!!
Karma is just around the corner!
animo benilde!
