Solemnizing Officer in Civil Wedding

Hi all,

How is a solemnizing officer assigned after a marriage license has been issued?

Would anyone know how to go about inviting a solemnizing officer to a civil wedding out of town (i.e. Tagaytay) ? Do we need to pay a certain fee, or is this a personal arrangement with the judge?


Has anyone here been married in civil rites out of town? Can you recommend a solemnizing officer?

what's a solemnizing officer? is this the same thing as a judge? we're set for a garden wedding and trying to figure out who's going to marry us. pwede bang judge pero included pa rin candles, viel, cord sa ceremony? help naman pls..
