Bakit hindi yumayaman ang maraming Pilipino?

bakit nga ba? do you think in your present work you will get rich even if you work for 10-30 years?

Why is it even a lot of doctors, lawyers, professionals are living in debt?

We keep on idolizing a lot of rich people but we never tend to really study how they got rich.

why do a lot of Filipinos continue to spend their hard earned money?

    nag tataka lang....

most rich people live in debt

rich people do not announce to the world that they are rich

no one will ever be satisfied no matter what or how much he will have

    *bow*

If you get rich, at least hundred of people will get poorer.

Being rich is a very subjective term. One man's idea of rich may be living in modesty by others.
Why is it even a lot of doctors, lawyers, professionals are living in debt?
Because being a doctor, lawyer and a professional doesn't automatically make you rich
We keep on idolizing a lot of rich people but we never tend to really study how they got rich.
It's just the same as idolizing artists and models. Maybe they have something that we common people don't have
why do a lot of Filipinos continue to spend their hard earned money?
Because it's not our business to know where and how they spend their money?

    All my 2 cents

I think buying things is way better than stealing them. Of course, nothing beats receiving them for nothing, but we can't always be lucky.

because we think small...small time kung mangarap ang pinoy..basta magka bahay lang at tindahan ayos na..or makapag tapos si junior...

    think BIG..

you become of what you think...tama ba yun?

maybe because when you earn more, you tend to buy more expensive things because you can "afford" it... so even if your salary increases, your expenses tend to increase too, thus leaving you wondering why you still end up with the same amount of salary before the next payday comes

i mean, that's whats happening to me right now, anyway.

*social injustices is somewhat complicated.. that is right that being rich is relative. i think we should know how to be contented with what we have and not to ask for more. but it doesnt necessarily follow not to strive harder.. pag nagkaroon, nakaipon --mag-save, magnegosyo para dumami ang pera na para na lamang tubig sa panahon ngayon.

It's just the same as idolizing artists and models. Maybe they have something that we common people don't have
Then what if we study how they got rich? Learn it and practice it? then maybe it will spell a difference for us.

Because it's not our business to know where and how they spend their money? ]
Iba yung pag kaka interpret mo ng sinabi ko.. what I meant really was we see Filipinos spending money unwisely. Meaning maraming binibili na hindi na practical. Let's say for example, starbucks coffee. I have nothing against starbucks naman it's just that Filipinos spend 100 pesos in this kind of coffee wherein pwede naman mas murang coffee. If they could at least save the money and invest it then maybe in a few years, you could sum up a great amount of investment.

because we think small...small time kung mangarap ang pinoy..basta magka bahay lang at tindahan ayos na..or makapag tapos si junior...

you become of what you think...tama ba yun?
Yes I agree! hehe... let me add also.
A lot of Filipinos do not have a plan in life. So sa working class, they are contended with what is in the present but they never really look in the future. Many do not think about retirement.

You see, if you are 22 and working and keep on saving and investing, then most probably in the near future you might have savings and investment that will support you even if you are not wotking already

maybe because when you earn more, you tend to buy more expensive things because you can "afford" it... so even if your salary increases, your expenses tend to increase too, thus leaving you wondering why you still end up with the same amount of salary before the next payday comes

i mean, that's whats happening to me right now, anyway.
yes this is very true!

the key here is discipline. Know what you just need and have the discipline of changing yourself to be better.

haha!! kaka tawa naman to. hehe let me just add. Marami kasing Pinoy na gustong yumaman agad. syempre sino bang may ayaw d ba?! pero the thing is, there are no shortcuts to getting rich. It will take financial literacy, hard work, attitude and the most important, discipline kaya maraming tumataya sa lotto.. kasi yun lang ang nakikita nilang paraan para maging milyonaryo where in fact, marami namang paraan but it will take the necessary characteristics to be one.

I hope call center people won't get mad at me. I know there are still some call center people out there knows how to save their money. I have former schoolmates and believe it or not, all of them who are employed as call center agent (take note, they are employed in a very prestigious call centers in the country), they earn higher wages than I do, pero mas poor pa sila saakin (lol). Lubog sa utang. They in fact gusto mangutang saakin, but sorry, I never lend them. Ganun ba mag work sa call center, malaki sahod, pero daming utang????

Part to blame is our culture. pano kasi, we are a consumer society. lahat ng nakikita nating advertisment puro gastos. A lot of Filipinos do not think about their future or retirement. puro ngayon lang! material things that make them happy now pero hindi nila naiisip na ang trabaho, temporary lang yan. and if in any case something bad happens to them, they are in great danger of being poor.

When people stop blaming others and start looking at problems as lessons to be learned on the way to success.... that's when people will start having a "rich mentality"
