    Most In-Demand Engineering Course

i need ur help cause im an incoming freshman college at mapua and i want to know what type of engineering is the most in-demand all around the world and the greatest source of salary in the field of engineering...

Mechanical Engineers are in demand in Middle East kaya kahit inexperience ako sa engineering (basta pasado ng local boards) naqualify ako magwork sa Saudi and Qatar kasi kelangan talga dun ng Mechanical Engineering.

Using as basis the population of MAPUA, being the largest engineering school in the Philippines, the Program with the largest student population is:

    ECE

Perhaps the idea of ECE housing the biggest student population by Program implies that it could be the most in-demand engineering profession.

    ... just like Nursing.

Sa US to galing, Electrical Engineering, $54,000.

i am an ECE and worked as an ECE before now as an IT professional, pero masasabi ko sana nag CoE na lang ako since IT is really in demand, although konti lang adjustment since medyo malapit siya sa CoE, pero mas maganda kung CoE na lang wala pang board

I would say, it is the so-called ECE program.

actually, meron pong course na software engineering, and i'm taking it up right now (im in 4th yr). its just that my school (cpu) is not that known at least in the majority of the population (though it is for a lot of people). but we're in the right path naman, proven by the competency of our faculty who graduated in australia (griffith university) as a real, diploma-holder software engineer, kaya nga, everything about SE, we know every bit of it.. di lang kasi namin yun pinag-aralan in one subject, but in our whole college years..

  13. #13
^ good morning. anong school yung cpu? maganda ba curriculum ng s.e. (what i mean is ok naman siya)? salamat.

  14. #14
Yup! Mapuans.. mas indemand ngayon ang software developing....I am a CE-Ense but I am involved now in programming Construction Management softwares to all discipline(Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical/Piping/Equipments)... Imagine dos version pa kami nuon at wala pa excel at word saka Fortran pa lang pinaka advanced na program naabutan ko...hehehe pero ngayon I can even program from oracle or visual basic kase kailangan ko para makasurvive.... Kaya Mapuans kailangan natin ang alam sa IT ngayon and I am sure MIT provides a good curriculum in this field

    @ivankirk12:

good day po. i think it would be quite disrespectful po to give out details about our school since mapuan forum po ito, but speaking of software engineering, for the whole 5-year course, eto pong tina-tackle namin:

    - engineering mathematics (algeb, calculus, advanced engg math, diff equations, discrete math, etc.)

    - engineering sciences (physics, thermo, mechanics, etc.)

    - comp technicals (design patterns, data structures, formal methods, OS, computer graphics, enterprise app devt)

    - major SE subjects (deals primarily on software engineering processes, software requirements specification, software project management, software design, software architecture, software quality, testing, etc.) tsaka may software development sa 4th yr.

They're enjoying their job sa Singapore. In a few months time, nakapagpagawa na sila ng middle class house sa province.

Still, I think it's ChE, considering the significance of oil industry in world economy.
