@candycane.. we booked through Agoda.com and stayed for 2 nights in Gaya Centre Hotel. Ok yung hotel na yan, location wise. the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to Jesselton Point and smack in the middle of KK - pier/baywalk, shopping centers, tiangge, palengke, malls, city hall).

Dun sa Jesselton Point question mo, my answer is yes. Lakad lang kayo from the gaya centre hotel to jesseltom point. tapos select na kayo ng tour provider nyo sa Jesselton Point. ganun lang ka-simple.

Hindi kami nag-white water rafting so I can't help you with that. Kung sa Gaya Centre ka mag-stay, you can ask the receptionists at the lobby. may mga tour providers din kasi sila eh. price-wise, very competitive ang quote nila sa amin nung nagtanong ako about klias river safari. maybe it is the same with white water rafting.

    thank you!!!

How far is Gaya Centre from the Gaya Sunday Market? Ang habol lang naman namin is near to the mall (newly opened pala ang Suria Sabah!), may eateries outside the hotel and sana makapunta sa Gaya Sunday Market.

Did you book hotel transfers pa? How did you go to the hotel and back to the airport?

  3. #1543
@candycane.. neighbor lang ng Gaya Centre hotel yung Suria Sabah. newly-opened sya nung nagpunta kami dun last January 2012. isang kembot lang from Gaya Centre eh nasa Suria Sabah mall ka na.

Maraming market (tiangge), aside from the malls, na nakapalibot sa Gaya Centre hotel. And yes walking distance lang yang Gaya Sunday market from the hotel (at most 5-10 minute walk). Dun kami bumili ng orangutan t-shirts. price-wise not as cheap as bkk t-shirts pero okay na din compared to our greenhills. lol.

    Yey, perfect location nga!

    Ano hotel transfers nyo?

  5. #1545
^ you mean airport to hotel transfers namin and vice versa?

First two nights namin in kk, we stayed at Shangri-La Rasa Ria. So Shangri-La people ang sumundo sa amin sa airport.

Departure namin, nasa Gaya Centre na kami nag-stay so they arranged taxi for us to the airport. Flat rate ang charge ng taxi nila from kk city centre to the airport: MYR30.

In my opinion, Hotel Eden54 has the best location. DIY at Jesselton is best for TARP Island Hopping.

Help lang po sa concern ko.

Kaya ba pagkasyahin island hopping (sapi, manukan, mamutik) and mt. kinabalu trip in one day? we're not planning to climb mt. kinabalu naman, more on tour/photo ops lang talaga. Medyo matagal pa naman trip namin.. November 15 - 17. So sa 15, ang dating namin is 5:00 pm. So mag check in pa, for sure mga 7:00pm na magiging free time namin. Planning to have dinner at Seri Selera. May mga mapupuntahan pa ba kami during those hours? Even up to 12mn?

For our next day, can we do island hopping half day? let's say until lunch? Then city tour noon?

For our last day, Mt. Kinabalu in the morning? Leave around 6 am? Be back around lunch time, then do some short shoppings before checking out around 3pm? Our flight going back to Manila is 5:30pm.

Any suggestions to our 3 days 2 nights trip? If you guys noticed, alanganin yung oras because of the available flights.. di ko alam pano namin pagkakasyahin lahat ng activities for that 3 days. Need help for our itinerary. Siguro yung places a "must" to go to nalang, and of course, photo ops purposes.

question lang po. what time usually makakabalik sa hotel for a 2 islands na island hopping? pag 3 islands? im estimating if we would have time to do some shopping pa after. limited time kasi. thanks!

  14. #1554
thanks for the info. dun pala sa klias tour, 2pm ang pickup from the hotel and 4pm andun na dapat for the snack etc...

sa orangutan naman, we'll forgo rest of shopping mall tour kase malayo layo din pala ang rasa ria from the city center. more than 20kms. din.

less than 2 weeks na lang alis na kme.

btw, anyone here knows kung nagpapalit din ba sa mga money changers dun ng philippine peso to ringgit? parang nun ng backread ako dito before, may nabasa akong ganun pero di ko na makita ngayon.

    TIA!!!

Nov. 16- Travel to Mt. Kinabalu, almost two hours kasi per way so mas okay kung whole day, daanan niyo na din yung hot spring.
sa gabi pwede pa naman kayo mag mall, shopping, night market.
Nov. 17- 7-12 noon, island hopping then off to the airport na.

half day basta maaga kayo at di naman gaanong matagal per island.

kung madami kayo better hire a boat na sa inyo lang para sarili niyo oras. mura lang naman dun.
