Official San Antonio Spurs 2008-2009 Team Thread
Go Spurs Go!
Ok, the series is over, we must move on and have a fresh start. Luckily next year is our year (odd tear ).New thread, fresh start hopefully new players and a young ones. Free Agents: 1. Kurt Thomas - hopefully KT will be back for his defense and veteran presence 2. Robert Horry - retire 3. Michael Finley - please retire Hopefully Ian Mahinmi will be on the rotation on real NBA game, by the way, Splitter sucks for signing in his mother team in Euro League, we wasted a first round pick last year. We welcome all solid spurs fans here(old and new pex members). Props to itcantbedone, geeboy, adonis, shinobi_no_kami, outmap and wordy (kapag may nakalimutan ako, please raise your hand, i will add you, hehe) for staying with me here in pex with this team throughout the years! We need a better back-up for Parker.
Splitter to replace Horry. I do hope they start spending some money on quality players. Just can't win with bargain basement players anymore. |

Yeah, kick the mighty mouse and Jacque "im-claxton-and-delk-look-alike" Vaughn.
Retain Tim, Manu, Tony, Bruce, Barry and Thomas. Package the rest for a trade. Bring Mahinmi and work him out all summer with TD. We're not sure with Splitter, he just agreed to sign with the Euro team. Sign free agent swingman and make him Bruce Jr. Udoka is old and not the target long 3.(Derrick Mckey type) |

Draft 7'2" Roy Hibbert in the 2008 NBA Draft. I am sure he is going to improve as a player under Coach Greg Popovich, and by playing along side the greatest PF in the history of the NBA Timothy Theodore Duncan

With a healthy Manu, surely the outcome of the WCF series will be different. Again, no excuse we just need to beef up the bench a little bit with a quality PG and an athletic/serviceable PF/C. This is where we miss Rasho and Elson as Oberto is small to fill the C position.
We were outrebounded and outhusled during the last two series and I saw TD hanging to his shorts at the end of the games grabbing all those rebounds and defending the basket. Retire Vaughn, Stoudamire, Finley, and Horry. ![]() |

the spurs needs some drastic change imo. LA will only get better next year and as long as phil is coaching that team i doubt if we can still beat them.

Spurs should dump the aged athletes, except for Manu and TD of course.

If they could somehow get Arenas while keeping the big 3 intact, that would be awesome.

tiago's returning to tau ceramica, so say bye-bye to him.
any spurs who're willing to retire? horry should be the first to go. he already has 7 championships and he's as good as spent. |

yup, even spurs fans were impressed with sasha and cursing him also at the same time. i frequent the lakers opponents' forums/fan sites.
but the machine is a keeper for the lakers. he'll be given new batteries by the FO this offseason. |
