    q q q
The search for fugitive Chinese businessman Delfin Lee could be futile because in all probability he may have already left the country for some undisclosed destination to avoid criminal prosecution.

Just like Chinoy financial whiz Dewey Dee in 1980, when he suddenly left the country with some P600 million in money market placements entrusted to him by unsuspecting clients.

Dewey Dee, the scion of a rich Chinese family here in Manila and brother of a prominent business leader, was later spotted living in the Caribbean nation of Haiti. He reportedly ended up moving to Canada after the toppling of the government of his alleged benefactor Haitian President Baby Doc Duvalier.

Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo said that with his money and connections in the Bureau of Immigration it is highly possible that Lee could have boarded an outward-bound flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, even if there was an existing Hold Departure Order issued against him by a judge, to avoid being held accountable by authorities for the much-publicized multibillion-peso Globe Asiatique (GA) scam.

Aside from Lee, the other high-profile fugitives still being hunted by the police for various serious crimes are Gen. Jovito Palparan, Palawan Gov. Joel Reyes, Coron Mayor Mario Reyes and Dinagat Rep. Ruben Ecleo.

Last May 2012, Lee was ordered arrested — together with his son Dexter Lee, GA’s chief financial officer, GA officials Christina Sagun and Cristina Salagan as well as Pag-IBIG lawyer Alex Alvarez — by Judge Ma. Amifaith Reyes of the San Fernando Regional Trial Court for syndicated estafa, a non-bailable crime, in connection with two housing projects in Pampanga.
The information filed against Lee and the other co-accused alleged that they had conspired to defraud the Pag-IBIG Fund of some P7.031 billion by using fictitious or ghost borrowers for 9, 951 accounts in the Xevera low-cost housing projects in Bacolor and Mabalacat towns from March 2008 to August 2010.

Implicated in the elaborate scam was Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo who was Pag-IBIG president from 2001 to 2009 during the time of former President Arroyo. He resigned from Pag-IBIG in 2009 to run for the congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Del de Guzman.

Quimbo is now being investigated for alleged graft by the Office of the Ombudsman, as it was deemed next to impossible that he was unaware of the activities of Lee and his group during the time he was still at the helm of Pag-IBIG.

Incidentally, former Vice President Noli de Castro was the country’s “housing czar” for the duration of his term from 2004 to 2010. He was appointed by Mrs. Arroyo as head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council and chairman of the board of trustees of the Pag-IBIG Fund, just like Secretary Mike Defensor (2001 to 2004) before him and Vice President Jojo Binay today.

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/228109/...arture-from-ph

Vice President Jejomar Binay said yesterday he would ask the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to explain if reports that housing developer Delfin Lee had managed to leave the country were true.
Binay cited newspaper reports quoting Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo as saying that Lee, who is facing syndicated estafa charges, may have already left the country to avoid criminal prosecution.
“I was surprised when I read that in the papers this morning. I will not allow that to happen because the victims of Lee are demanding justice,” he said during the 35th birthday celebration of his son, Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City.
“That’s why I’m sending a letter to the NBI and BI to ask them if the reports were true. I think an investigation should be conducted to determine how and under what circumstances he was able to leave,” Binay said. “I am no longer questioning the failure of the authorities to arrest him, baka naman kasi talaga magaling magtago si Lee. But for him to be able to leave is another story.”

That’s good kung ganoon! Hindi kasi lahat ng residential community ay may ganyang shuttle service. Pero sigurado kasama ito sa association dues na binabayaran ng mga residents.

  8. #3428
Hello. Balak sana namin lumipat dyan. Work at home kasi work ko kaya I need reliable internet connection. Planning to get PLDT DSL. For backup internet, may signal ba sa St. Monique ang SmartBro and Globe Tattoo?
Nawawalan ba ng kuryente pag malakas ang ulan like kahapon?

    TIA!

  9. #3429
Try mo siguro yung Globe Tattoo. Maganda kasi yung service nila.

by that time kulong na siguro si delfin lee.

  14. #3434
Biruin mo naman kasi yung laki ng ng development nila, 200 hectares. Talagang marami pa silang gugugulin na panahon at budget para makompleto yang community.
