^ Someone to watch over me.
I heard that somewhere, I just don't even remember.![]()
No kidding? That's someone to watch over me? I didn't even recognize the tune.![]()
Errr...
why did you like epi 3?
^I liked the idea of a 'ghost network'. While some liked the 'rapid growing spawn' episode, I for one hated it because it reminded me of a book I read, which I happen to immensely dislike.![]()
i'm quitting after watching the 3rd episode. this show is going to get cancelled. a stain on jj abrams' resume.
^You seem to have forgotten about its lead-in show House, MD. Hugh Laurie's medical drama is one of the Top 10 programs which explains the good numbers that Fringe currently enjoys.
yup. exactly what i said.
FRINGE is doing good so far.
take for example the grey's anatomy post show timeslot. how many shows have occupied that slot???
- six degrees (jj abrams)
- october road
- men in trees
all of whom are cancelled now because it just cant maintain the lead in
anyone here watched the latest episode?
I have mixed feelings and jumbled thoughts about the whole episode.
1. Walter's a bit OOC.
2. ideas and osmosis, i wish they elaborated further.
3. will the observer be a prominent character in the series? is he a part of those conducting experiments on the world?
4. Is olivia hallucinating?
... amongst other things. I sense a major build up to some severely intriguing conclusion. How I hope that once the clincher is revealed it won't be a let down.
Latest episode is amazing imo.
The observer seemed creepy, I did like the character development and hopefully now Peter will be more of a partner to Olivia rather than just his father's babysitter.
I also liked the last episode. It has sort of established the back story for future episodes. Of course, there's the partnership between Peter and Olivia, plus we still have to know what the capsule really is, and who is the bald guy? He also said that departure is on schedule, or something like that. What did he mean?
I'm really hooked to this show. Too bad that the next episode is still 2 weeks away.
suddenly. their connection came out of nowhere.
JJ ABRAMS DID IT AGAIN!
very nice character development from this episode. i got teary eyed while walter was telling peter about the accident.
the bald guy is creepy.
i like where we're going!
BTW
ratings continue to look good. it's third in the spot, BUT!!! it only lost 3 million from HOUSE viewers again BUT it held the top spot among viewers 18-49 which is the key demog. im smelling a second season!

just finished watching the episode. and i agree, this is far better than last week's episode.
what did happen to that cylinder?
i know what osmosis is, but, i didn't see any connection in this episode.
Funny thing is the idea of osmosis was also used in my safety training today
I think the show becomes a trying hard sci-fi. After the second episode, the 'scientific ideas' goes down and down.
What Walter talking about is that the 'flow of idea/mind' of him to Peter was like osmosis - hence, Peter though doesn't know the answer to the question, he managed to answer because of the connection between Peter and Walter. Same as true with the BORING Olivia and the guy who was killed.
Another osmosis idea is how the bald guy managed to read Peter's mind - like that of how the bald guy managed to transmit idea to Walter. You get the thing. From one concentrated idea to another. Something like that.
Anyway.
This is my theory. It's either Walter is an experimenter or he is part of the big experiment. The idea of 'Observer' is quite scientifically driven. When you do an experiment, there is a big part of observation and you deal with it - process raw data, then report to a 'higher authority'.
There could be a "different team", trying to sabotage the experiment - hence, the executioner. OR it can be they are another team of experimenters trying to compete against Walter's team... The Observer's role is primarily to observe, hence, maybe, he just watch the experiment of Walt's team, or the other team?
I'm quite intrigued now who is the head of the big experiment and what is the goal of experiment.
the latter sounds promising. but who knows with this show. i think i'll just sit back and enjoy. my mind's shot. lols.
on other news:
my lab practicals are coming up. i'm so dreading it. i haven't the slightest clue on what we'll be tested on. (euphemism for "i'll be asking for a consult come next thursday lols).
i liked the 3rd episode better.
i'm lost and i still don't know where the show is going.that's good news. i'll watch it until the very last episode. (or after the first season
)
