Ang latest kong violation ay using a mobile phone while driving. Alam kong common sense ito, pero I never thought na violation talaga ito. Sa US, oo strict sila dito.

I wasn't the one driving. He opted to give in to the demands of the traffic enforcer.

just renewed my drivers license today and took me 1 hour from start to finish.

compared to 2006, when I last renewed my license, the equipment used is now far better. 17 inch LCD monitors and networking was via USB broadband modems. For what its worth, LTO computerization should be a model for e-governance in the Philippines.

Binigyan din ako ng resibo nung nahuli ako three years ago yata.

    Where'd you have it renewed?

What's the best LTO branch or satellite office for renewals?

Just go to the Lto office where you applied your SP with an affidavit of loss, if expired na din yun permit, kuha ka ng bago (use it for 30 days muna). You can't get a non-prof if your SP is missing or expired.

ganon, pede bang punta ko umaga, file ko lang, then bukas ko umaga kunin? im night shift eh, so kaya ko sya i process pero kung aabutin ako maghapon sa LTO eh di ako makakapasok sa gabi.

Execute an affidavit of loss then go to the Lto office where you applied for your SP, then pay the duplicate fee and take photo, you're good to go.

May 1 year ban pa rin ba for those who want their birthdays revised?

Depends, you can correct your birth date if at the time you applied for a license you are not under age, just execute an affidavit of discrepancy to correct your birth date.

If you applied a license using a fake birth date then you got a problem. LTO would require you surrender your license and ban you from applying for a new one for 1 year. After the one year ban then you could apply for a new one using the correct birth date.

You should have a valid student permit at least 1 month old, take drug and medical exams. Payment for the exam fee then take written exams and practical exams, if passed then they would issue you your new non-prof., if you don't have a car they have a service vehicle there usually a jeep.

I think they should provide an actual test driving especially for those who are applying for professional driver's license.

This should be the norm to all applicants of a driver's license, not only to prof. license applicants but to non-prof. license applicants as well.
