What were your settings and film used in the oblation photo? Post processed? Nice pics.

Hey everyone. Personally, I don't mind both digital and film photography. I used to bring both so I could get an easy back-up. I used a Nikon FE-10 since I was younger but I've always wanted a TLR camera. I just don't know where I could get one in the Philippines (also, are the prices fair?).

Like all of you, I'm thinking of taking my film camera out of storage. Not because I hate digital photos but because I just like the challenge.

^medyo pricey ang tlr 10k and up ang price

Thumbs up for you walksalot. Not only you'll find challenge in film, you'll be practicing what photography is all about--I don't mean the archaic--but yes, it's essentially working with available light--an important concept that's missing in digital photography.

Same here. I have a DSLR too, but have taken more pics with the film camera. Sabi ng asawa ko, pang meter lang yata ang DSLR cam mo.

It is great that you are getting into film photography again.

As they say, film may be more difficult to master, but the results can often be surprising.

    http://jenniecastillo.multiply.com/ << medyo pricey

jeskavendora.ph << medyo matagal mag reply

hirap na talaga makakuha ng films ngayon kaya pag meron hoard agad excited ako this week magpaprocess ako ng 15 rolls haha naipon na kasi walang pera dati )

You can still work with "available light" even with digital. I shoot 99% digital and i work 99% solely with available light. No flash, no strobes.

There is a certain challenge with film but i disagree that digital photography lacks "Shooting with available light" or that the concept of utilising available light is something exclusive with film photography. Film photographers also use flah or strobes which is not available life photography.

The attraction for me of film photography is that film is not free therefore each shot requires consideration and thinking. It's very different from digital photography where memory is recyclable therefore there is no requirement to Think before you shoot. Thats why I think photographers who started with film are much better photographers... Because the photography process is so ingrained in them that it carries over to their digital work as well.

Mabuti naman at di mo naisip gamitin ang RB67. I sold mine with 2 lenses and accessories for $700.

The films are all still here. Baka maaga ang uwi ng Mrs. ko. I will tell her to bring some films and your developing tank. Di niya kayang dalhin lahat ng film sa hand carried bag niya kaya unti unti. Basta mag PM tayo ng first week of October.

Good pics there. Made me miss the inihaw na mais.
