    Boxing

Hi guys, I'm interested in joining a boxing gym, specifically Elorde's.

Anybody else who has experience with boxing? How did you find it? Did your bellies get any smaller? Did you develop bigger muscles? Do they have weights and facilities similar to regular gyms? Were you able to use the training in a real street fight?

Been boxing on and off for some time now and here are my insights:

    1. Its best that you actually go to a gym if you wanna get in shape. You can't maximize results by "boxing yourself" into shape. Its the same reason why in the movie "ocky" Mickey, Rocky's coach, banned Rocky from training in the gymuntil he was in shape.

This same thing is why there are people who would box and then quit shortly after.

    2. Where are you located to begin with?

Now, if you want to learn real boxing, I highly suggest you go elsewhere since Elorde is more of "fast food boxing" than anything else.

Bakit ka naman na discourage agad eh hindi mo pa nasubukan? :-) No matter what other people say, it's still very different when you try it out for yourself.I would say any strenous physical activity will definitely tone your physique.Beats boxing in Xbox 360.:-)

Dindo and Arie are pretty good boxing trainers. Can't say anything about the others since I havent watched them train yet.

Did you train with suntokaran or alliance?

just had my first boxing session at maic's. sulit naman pala. 2 and a half hours din tinagal ng session ko hehe. kakapagod pala. although i think mas rigorous ang training sa elorde near dlsu, from my friend's stories who recently enrolled there. or siguro depende talaga sa trainer?

    who trained you?

the guys at maic's are actually smart and will pace you and train you depending on your capabilities

rey did. "coach" also told me some pointers. pero parang very lax 'yung training sa 'kin.
