    Smile Shifting 2012-2013

I was accepted to BSBAA for AY 2012-2013! Wooh!

I'm from the College of Engineering at late second sem ko na narealize na engineering isn't my passion. Tapos I tried my luck to shift to BAA. My GWA was 1.57 and my CWA was 1.53 (not counting Physics 71, Chem 16 and Math 53). 20 units lang ang credited sa'kin, pero I still got in the BAA program!

Nothing is impossible. Ako sobrang doubt ko sa sarili ko that I will make it. Pero when I saw my name in the list, wooooooooooah! :)

(Note: Math 53 is not counted in your CWA. Pero if you get in the program, pwede mong ipacredit yung subject na yun as Math 100.)

Baka it was credited as Physics 1, Chem 1, and Math100.
Well, a few years ago, my friend who has a CWA of 1.5~ish wasn't able to get into the program kasi kulang din.

Be faithful nlng sa BAA curriculum. Wala pa naman masyadong majors un eh

    Physics10 pala. Or NatSci1 combined?

I asked the person in charge of the shifting application if they credited my Physics and Chem as GEs and they said NO. But if I get in to the program daw, they might consider them GEs. When I had my application assessed, I only have 20 units credited. That's why I didn't really expect that I'd still pass BAA.

shifting to BAA this AY 13-14

keri ba ang 1.75< GWA < 1.50 to get accepted in the BS BAA program? mahirap ba subjects sa BAA? nkakatakot yung retaining grade lol )

I need your advice para sa situation ko. Reasonable ba na sa BA muna ako magshift tapos within college magsshift to BAA pag third year na?

and... ano bang mas magandang pre-law in your opinion, BE or BAA?

ok, ang nonsense ng mga tanong ko. )

    thanks sa mga magrereply!

Kung mag-backread ka, ang sinasabi, at least Math 17 ang kailangan at time of application. Ang Math 100 kasi, pwede mong kunin during the summer, etc.

    xxxxx

Pwede namang sa BA ka muna mag-shift. Pareho naman sila ng curriculum buong second year, it's just that may retaining grade ang BAA sa accounting subjects nila (BA 99.1/BA 99.2 average > 2.5).

Pero, in terms of what I would advise, BAA>BA>BE ang priority. Bakit? Kasi ang BAA/BA, may business law subjects. Ang BAA may 12 units ng Business Law. May elective pang additional 3 units. Yung BA, may 3 units ng Business Law. Ang BE, wala. Pero, di naman yun necessarily advantage to get into law school.

another question, nagtake ako ng math 17 and econ 11 this sem. tapos ittake ko sa summer yung math 100. makecredit ba yung Econ 11? I took it kase plano kong magshift either sa BE or BAA.

thanks sa very helpful BE vs BAA as pre-law (comparison).
I agree sa sinabe mo reg sa BE vs BAA as pre-law.

Don't ask me why ganun ang case.

HUHUHU. Pero yun po, THANK YOU PO SA SASAGOT!

May minimum GWA or CWA ba para maadmit sa BAA?

1.43 po kasi yung CWA ko pero may kilala akong 1.5 dati na hindi nakapasok last year. Galing po kami sa UPM

  18. #258
