does body fluids include saliva? Can u get it thru kissing?
and also, once u had unprotected sex with an hiv positive,

Hi just recently i had a medical checkup and I also had HIV/Aids testing using Vironostika Uniform II brand and here are the results:

Cut off: 0.194
absorbance: 0.089
ELISA Method: nonreactive

I just want to know what this imply. I already know that I'm negative but what about the absorbance of 0.089, which is close to the cut off? Does it mean I'm close to having HIV/Aids? I will wait for your reply. Thank you.

The AIDS screening exams are very sensitive. People who test initially as negative or as in your case "NON REACTIVE" with ELISA are usually not tested again unless you have a high degree of suspicion. For example the person you had intercourse with was diagnosed with AIDS.
If you test positive initially, which would read "REACTIVE" you then have to undergo a more specific confirmatory test to make sure.

You dont really want an explanation of the principle behind ELISA do you? It involves antibodies and the changes in color due to enzyme reactions that take place only if you have the specific antibodies (in this case Anti-HIV antibodies) tested for. You dont have these antibodies unless you have an HIV infection.

The absorbance relates to the change in color of the test solution if these antibodies are present. This measured by by spectrophotometer, device that detects changes of wavelength of light passing through a solution. Simple explanation: you're fine.

Absolutely, yung virus kasi ng HIV can live in fluids for as long as 24 hours. Pero kapag dry usually minutes or hours lang daw patay na. Yung semen nga na natapon sa mata eh very high risk na yun.

What if yung naunang customer na nilabaha ng barbero eh may hiv tapos nasugatan *** tapos yung sumunod na customer nilabaha din at nasugatan. Di ba pwedeng ma-transfer yung hiv dun sa second customer right?

High risk pag may singaw ka,mataas ang probability kapag may mga maliliit na sugat ka sa gums gaya ng singaw. Ang problema eh kahit mag-toothbrush ka lang nagkakaroon na agad ng mga microscopic wounds ang gums so if i were you, i would not dare do it.

Tanong ko lang kung mahahawa ako ng HIV dahil nakipagsex ako sa GRO without using condom. Pero hindi ko nilabasan sa keps niya ang ginawa ko pinasok ko muna tapos yung malapit na ako pina BJ ko sa kanya. May possible bang mahawa ako first time ko lang kasi eto ayaw ko ng ulitin.
