I found out I was HIV+ on May 21, 2012. Please get tested. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay strong. As for me, tuloy ang buhay.

Hi.. naparegister na ko.. actually nagbabasa na ko dati dito. Ask ko lang.. nagpatest ako sa pgh nung wed. June 13 and nakuha ko ngayon ang result this 15. NONREACTIVE po ako.. happy ako dahil ilang months din ako nagka anxiety.. ask ko lang, i dont exactly remember the date pero last na ginawa ko yun with my partner is 2nd week of march. Accurate na po kaya yun, and may doubt kasi ako.kasi nag positive siya, shes actually taking meds now..

It takes a while for the body to develop HIV antibodies, so that might be why you haven't tested positive. Also, kung safe naman kayo then you don't have to worry as much. To be sure, wait for another 3 months and then get tested again. In the meantime, always practice safe sex.

  6. #3706
So hindi pa pala po ako safe. One time lang namin nagawa yun, march 7 then nagpatest po ako nitong june 13. Hindi po safe sex eh.

The window for HIV antibodies to develop is quite wide. It's usually anywhere from 3 to 6 months, on some occasions longer. I would advise you to check with your partner's doctor the next time na magpa-checkup sya. But I really hope negative ka. Even if HIV+ ka, relax lang. Tuloy ang buhay.

Abstinence is bad as the primary strategy because it is bound to fail. It is better to educated about what is safe and not, in case the strong and basic sexual drive kicks in. Once you have been educated and is prepared (available condoms, for example), then it is appropriate to try abstinence if one does not have a committed relationship.

Tama na yang kaka-test na yan. Anxiety disorder ang bagsak mo nyan sa kaka-worry. Negative ka na. Just have another one as part of your normal annual physical, di yung every 3 months mong check, hehehe.

Three months is more than enough. If you will back read way back in 2010, 2011, you will see that our statements are consistent: 3 months after the last sexual exposure.

6 months pa din kasi ang "protocol" dito sa Pilipinas. Pero worldwide, it's three months already.

Please use a condom next time if you cannot avoid casual sex. But the best way to stay clean is to abstain from casual sex. If you have a partner, make sure that he has been tested negative for hiv, syphilis, and hepa b and you've seen the results yourself. Loyalty and trust are also very important.

    Stay safe!

^ Yes, this is good news to those who cannot go to social hygiene clinics on a weekday AND those who claim that they have not been tested yet because of their hectic schedule.

  16. #3716
Kudos to organizers of this free testing!

We have to remember that this type of service is not available systematically throughout the country because we lack the political framework (RH law), the funds (again, from RH law), and the enabling environment (education, stigma minimization).

@Smilewarrior, thank you for your generous words.

I am qualified to give advice. But I have to send you the details by email and trust that you keep them in confidence as, unfortunately, I come from other controversial boards within PEx where anonymity is crucial.

I will now clear my Inbox so that we can communicate confidentially. I will wait for your PM so that I may respond in kind.
