how much sa servitek?
Sa Servitek around P1k yata electronic alignment. IMO labor lang kunin mo sa kanila, yung parts as much as possible find and buy them yourself, laki ng patong nila eh.
Kung magpapa-wheel alignment, may pinapalitan bang parts? Wheel alignment, wheel rotation, 1K ang total price? Sa Servitek ang pinaka-ok magpa-align? May bayad ba kung papacheck up?
Walang pinapalitan sa wheel alignment...wala ring tinatanggal (unless you have it done with wheel balancing, where they take out the old wheel weights and put on new ones).
One thing that causes the wheel to go right or left is when the brake is sticking...so might as well check that!
before you bring your car for an alignment, think about these first:
1. when was your last alignment? if its more than a year, or if you hit a big pothole, you're alignment might be out.
2. how's your tire pressure? should be equal for your front tires.
3. how's your tire tread? any uneven wear?
4. how's your suspension/steering parts? if they're not in tiptop shape, be prepared to shell out for some wear and tear parts like shocks, tie rods, ball joints and bushings.
anyway, 1k for alignment is too much for me. you can try Entire Car Check Center. php350 for front wheel alignment. or Exalta Auto Repair Shop php250 is their charge for alignment.
one more tip, after alignment, test drive the car. if you're not satisfied, don't leave the shop unless they have corrected the problem.
This is very true.1. when was your last alignment? if its more than a year, or if you hit a big pothole, you're alignment might be out.
Last Saturday I hit a huge, hard-to-see rut at low speed on the Sta. Rosa entry to the northbound SLEX. I had previously had my wheels aligned a couple months earlier.
When I dropped my car off at Evangelista for a wheel-and-tire swap this morning, sure enough there was some misalignment due to the huge rut I hit.
can alignment be made by a makanico alone? i mean outside of shop? medyo tight sa budget kasi. or do u know a shop na mura lang mag charge. pref. in manila. tnx.
^Entire is in n. roxas, just before d. tuazon in qc if you're coming from manila. Exalta is in roxas, near corner banawe.
The best way to do this is to go to a shop which has computerized wheel alignment checking. The mechanics will fit all four wheels with sensors that will detect deviations from alignment via line-of-sight laser or infrared.
The computer should also have a list of alignment settings (usually camber, toe in/out and caster) for your particular car model. Some cars have this on the owner's manual, so if the shop's computer for some reason doesn't have the alignment settings for your car, you can bring the manual to the mechanic.
Servitek has computerized wheel alignment, this is why I trust them to do my annual alignment check. Wheelhaus in Evangelista also has similar equipment.
Pansin ko lang yung last 2 Civics (both up to 5 years old) ko at yung FXT ko ngayon (1 year old) hindi pa nangangailangan ng alignment -- not once!
Yung hand-me-down mitsus ko naman noon, madalas.
May kinalaman kaya sa car design yung gano kadalas kailangan magpa align? Or age?
Darn. Now, I haven't gone in for alignment for over 11 years !!!![]()

I actually had my car alligned at a Goodyear servitek in Trans Peak P. Guevarra St. I wasn't planning to, since I only wanted to change my tires, but they suggested i-check yung allignment. And it's true, they have a computerized system to check the allignment. I trusted them alright.
So after ko magpaallign, I was test driving, ok naman. 2 days after, I realized when i center the steering wheel, the car doesn't move in a straight line, more towards the right. So I went back to the shop a couple more days after, and had the wheel allignment re-done. This time, it took 4 days, then same thing. Pag nakacentro yung steering wheel, pakanan ang takbo. Then naisip ko, kelan na ako uli babalik, medyo busy pa sa work. It takes 2-3 hours sa pag wheel allignment sa servitek.
So now, I have the time to have the allignment fixed, I call them back, ang kausap ko doon, si Fidel Lim (bald guy na medyo tahimik). That's all he was saying. I'm not mad that the Servitek could not fix the allignment, pero sana hindi nalang *** nag offer ng wheel allignment kung ndi naman nila maayos. But kahit na may warranty pa din, I don't plan to get my allignment sa Servitek. Lalo na sa Trans Peak. The least that bald guy could have said was, "Drop by sa shop and we can check it out, baka may other factors why hindi ma allign."
After reading your thread, baka may other factors why they couldn't allign the wheel. Napansin ko when I brake, not all the time, but madalas, I hear a sound na parang pumipito. And also while the car is moving, may sound paminsan na parang kumukurog sa likod. Not sure if it had something to do with the brakes or shocks.
As for the allignment, baka hindi lang na center yung steering wheel? Will that wear off the tire still?
Hope I can get some replies from you guys. Thanks
Sorry sa haba ng message ko.
