Not to scare you, but there are still a lot of things to care of before that modular thing: the qualifying exam (which I will be taking this Monday if I ever pass ACTPACO). It is the gut-check time for an accounting major na tipong marami ang nasasala as if tackling the three basic subjects is more inferior (or easier) compared to it. That means you should really work hard for it to hurdle the program.

one more thing, its important that what you study and what you do is what you want, hindi yung napipilitan ka lang dahil magandang career or dahil sa parents

Don't give up iheartDP! While it's true that the real challenge begins only after the quali exams (aka modulars), it's still a worthwhile journey. Many of us in our batch (ID 108 btw haha) felt the same way too during our frosh year; mahirap naman kasi talaga ang accounting.

I have certain batchmates who repeated a subject also last year (e.g. ACTBAS1, BAS2, PACO), pero nakahabol pa rin sila sa modulars. Ngayon, regular na uli sila. Galing di ba? Just continue studying hard, that's all I can say.

Well, i really did work hard during bas1 with ms.elsie. but really. ( my parents almost made me switch schools just because uno lang ako. then they said na bas1 pa lang pumalpak na ako, di ko na daw kakayanin ang 3yrs pa sa dlsu. super supportive, right? super nakakapang-walang pagasa na mag BSA hahahahaha. Bahala na si Lord. )

Well, your message is the usual message of froshies. Parent's reaction about having low grades is the usual reaction of parents, who doesn't yet understand the entire system of BSA program.

I am a Velasco baby, I am not super brilliant nor outstanding. I was able hurdle all my accounting subjects because I am a hardworking student.

I keep on sharing this other BSA students, who fails despite exerting efforts to study.

(this is the common cause of student failure, hindi tama ang systema ng pag aaral)

    2. nag aaral but the effort is still not enough. you need to exert more effort on studying, pero you need to study properly.

You need to learn the proper way of studying for accounting (iba ang systema ng pag aaral. not the common method of studying when you were in high school). I tell you, it is hard at first to adopt the proper way of studying, but when you get used to it, mas madali at enjoy na ang pag aaral.

Alam mo, *** nararamdaman mo (mahirap pero nag aaral naman ako ng mabuti) is only a temptation or at least an excuse for you to slack off from studying. Think positive. Think that you can survive it. be strong. Pray.

These all sound really motivating but there's one small problem. Grabe na talaga, my parents are TRYING THEIR BEST TO DEPORT me to some other school na ayaw ko naman just to finish accounting. Pwede ba, i want to be a Lasallian accountant but since they lost their faith in me because of the 1.0, wala na buong future ko sa dlsu

If that's the case, I have simple one question for you: If you cannot become a Lasallian Accountant (since graduating BSA in DLSU is not always guranteed), then the choice it's up to you. Would you become a Lasallian (DLSU grad but not BSA) or an Accountant (BSA or even a CPA but graduated from another school)?

ngayon lang ulit ako nag PEX. Magmomodule 3 na ako next term. Hopefully wala sanang ibagsak. iheartDP. i agree with bogus123. Surely may premium ang pagiging graduate ng DLSU but then if you really think you cannot cope up with DLSU's BSA program, it won't hurt to grad accountancy in other schools such as UST, or PLM? i heard marami ring magagaling from PLM. so it's really your choice. pero sana makayanan mo DLSU's BSA program. As delia said, change of study habit talaga.

PROMISE. You need all the strength, time, perseverance, and LUCK. Set your mind. Do exercises. Listen to the prof. Hours and hours of solving. Believe me. Modulars are harder then the board exam, so i heard. PREPARE YOURSELF. You'll make big sacrifices, well me, i'm ready to give up my social life (parties, etc) just to graduate BSA. G'luck.

It's definitely going to be worth it, with all the great profs, the challenging subjects, and the self-discipline you'll learn to develop. Wag ka nang pumunta sa iba!

Hi guys. I passed MTH-CAP. Pwede ba magshift to accountancy? First choice ko kasi yung accountancy kaso I did not qualify. Ano ba requirements?
