Thumbs up OB GYNE IN MEDICAL CITY -affordable and super galing

    The Medical city

    Dra. Cecilia Vicencio
    MWFS 9am-2pm
    Direct line: 6362845
    Consultation fee: 500.00
Nung una i dont like her kz parang super serious, di ngumiNgiti, un pala sa umpisa lang hehehehehe....

Mukang super serious sa unang kita bit may pagkakwela, kitang kita sa profile ng face nya na she will never fail you, she will help you and magaling talaga sya, as much as possible, she will not allow CS kung kaya naman ng normal pero syere if CS talaga, CS na... Then sa hospital naman, sa start pa langg labor mo anjan na sya, kahit wala sya tulog, all day ka nya imomonitor, then hanggat maari if kaya mo na lumabas, papauwiin ka na nya kz concerned sya sa bill mo hindi din sya mataas sumingil ng PF considering na super galing nyaag-alaga, honest doctor sya, she will tell you if may problem then sasabihin nya agad what you need to do... Even her her secretary and assistant, super bait, nde uso sa kanila masungit... Si dra super kwela din as in you will appreciate the beauty of pregnancy, giving birth and post-natal care.... Ika nga ng isang bank, you're in good hands with dra. Vicencio.... 10+++ rating ko sa kanya....

When I got pregnant last January, I looked up OB recommendations in this topic and found Dr. Grace Luna-Cabrera. It was convenient for me because her clinic is in MMC which is near my home and office plus she had clinic on Saturdays. From the beginning, I was honest and told her that I would not be delivering my baby here in Manila. I had told her in advance I would be leaving late June or early July. My last 3 ultrasounds showed everything normal except that the doctor still considered my placenta to be low-lying (previous ultrasound showed it was 3.71 cm from cervix). Prior to my last visit with her, she informed me that she could not give me medical clearance or "fit to travel" certification if my next ultrasound still showed a low-lying placenta. I agreed because her reasoning was understandable. She would be blamed if something happened to me during the flight. After 3 weeks, I returned for a follow-up consultation and to schedule my last ultrasound before leaving the city. To my (and my husband's) absolute surprise and horror, she told me that even if my last ultrasound, which was scheduled the next day, no longer showed a low-lying placenta, she would not give me medical clearance or "fit to travel" certification because I was already 27 weeks pregnant. She said that she had told us this from the beginning. My husband and I were both stumped because she had not told us this before! Her only condition before was if my placenta had risen to be considered high-lying. She said she could only give me a medical certificate stating my baby's gestational age but not stating I was fit to fly. I was so stressed because my flight was only days away. I could not understand why she suddenly reversed her decision. Thankfully, I found a doctor who was willing to examine me and perform an ultrasound, which showed my placenta to be high-lying (it had now risen to 5 cm from the cervix), and thus, issued me a medical certificate. If not for this doctor, I would be forced to hide my pregnant belly and at 27 weeks, this is quite difficult already. No thanks to Dr. Luna-Cabrera. My husband said it was useless to go back to her since she wouldn't give us the clearance and she won't be delivering the baby anyway.

All in all, it was not just this singular experience which turned us off but the regular consultations we had with her as well. She seems to be overly cautious, always berating us for traveling regularly, and making us aware of dire consequences if I did not rest and eat properly. My husband and I would often come away from the consultations feeling depressed and troubled thinking we had done something wrong. Perhaps this is just her style to get her patients to listen, by emphasizing the negative consequences instead of reinforcing the positive. I was hoping to retain her as my regular OB even after I gave birth but after this experience, I will be looking for another one.

Both comment for Dra. Pascua whether negative or positive is very enlightening and I thank you both clsy and maypet921. I have an upcoming procedure for her and I really need a feedback about her. If there are more feedback please let me know.
Also I want to share my experience with another OB the reason why I transferred to Dra. Elsie Badillo-Pascua. Her name is Angela G. Sison-Aguilar practicing in St. Lukes-Global, and Friendly Care, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Healthpoint Center.
    1. She is always late-MAS MAHABA PA IINTAYIN MO KESA SA ACTUAL CONSULATION, wala ni isang consultation na pumunta ako na on-time siya kahit isa.....
    2. When you text her she will reply after how many hours or will not reply at all
    3. She do not explain the process well-TAPOS PAG MAY NAGAWA KANG MALI SA UTOS NIYA SERMON ANG ABOT MO....

I really had a very bad experience with her and that made me decide to really transfer OB, when she, after being late for more than 1 hour sinermunan ako dahil di ko naiinom and mga gamot on time. Totoo I missed it pero sobrang na-shock talaga ako how she told me na:
    "marunong ka naman siguro magbasa"
"alam mo naman siguro tagalog or english"

at marami pang iba.....na sobrang nasaktan ako na halos maiyak-iyak na ako, kahit walang ibang tao duon ...dahil di naman niya before na-explain how it is before tapos parang and dating napaka samang tao ko na dahil di ko nasunod lahat ng instruction niya....
and even though she is not shouting I feel like ang init niya ng ulo sa labas e nadala niya during our consultation. Sobra ...talaga ngayon nga naalala ko naluluha ako!!!!

Really one of the traumatic experience with OB, St. Lukes pa man din....

My wife's OB is Dra. Sheila Illescas in In My Womb in The Links. She also has a clinic in Medical City. My wife has been to a couple of OBs and she feels most comfortable with Dra. Illescas. She's very friendly, has great bedside manners, and discusses issues with my wife and me in a friendly and open manner.

I recommend my OB-Gyne, Dr. Flor Nucum. Her clinic's in Santolan, Pasig and she has a lying-in clinic as well. If you prefer to give birth in a hospital, she's affiliated with Salve Regina, Antipolo Medical Hospital and VT Maternity Hospital (Marikina).

I think and speak very highly of this OB. Maalaga, marunong umintindi lalo na sa financial concerns and siya ang nangangamusta sayo.

she is currently my OB. first time lang ko lang siya na meet last Saturday and I like her already. mura yung singil at practical ang mga reseta niya. her clinic is just near our home and we've already visited one of the hospitals she's affiliated with, yung VT Hospitan in Marikina. I love the place at ang mura, ayan excited na ako manganak.
