Hi there. I've been married for a year now and have been actively trying to get pregnant but so far, no luck yet. I'm very regular with my periods and in annual physical exams, no signs of sickness naman. Per my last OB, she mentioned that I was ovulating naman.
I'm getting concerned already that I or my hubby may be infertile and would like to go for a formal checkup for both me and my hubby. Any other OBs from St Lukes, Mkt Med, Medical City etc you can recommend? OBs from other hospitals would be great as well.
Also, would anybody know what are the different procedures for infertility tests?
Please help! We wanna have a baby!
try Dr. Alfredo Cabrera. He holds office at MMC (8159911 loc 2383) and Medical Plaza (7520445).
If you're not comfortable with a male doctor, his wife is also a good OB. Her name is Dr. Grace Luna-Cabrera. She is with MMC.
yung test para sa hubby mo, try mo sa Saint Luke's Hospital. They have a clinic / laboratory on the second floor. Its a place for those whos having a difficulty in having a baby. Maganda yung lab, kasi for the hubby's sperm count, you will be whisked into a small room with matching small sofa, urinal and sink tsaka may tv pa with bold movies showing. Hindi maiilang si mister. Then tatawagin ka pa ng lab attendant, kung gusto mong tulungan si mister, pwedeng pumasok. after putting the specimen, may small window sa tabi, diretso na sa lab nila. I should know kasi sumama ako sa hubby ko eh. Maganda yung lugar, the reception area looks like a sala. You have to wait for about an hour or so for the results. Price for the sperm count here cost about 4x compared to their usual laboratory on the ground floor. And you would get the results the next day.
Try Greg Pastorfide of MMC. He's a very good OB although just be prepared with the consultation fee. You can also try Pacita Lazaro, also with MMC although she's a bit busy and usually a long line.
Dra. Sison-Aguilar from M-Tech is a fertility doctor. She also holds clinic at Cardinal Santos. Hope she can help!
Dra. Aguilar-Dy of Saint Lukes, me & 3 of my friends are her patients. She's really good, think she is also the head of the Women's Health Department there.
Hi! Try Dr. Toma-Cruz of UST Hospital. From what I heard, mahusay sya sa ganitong cases. Medyo mahal nga lang ang professional fee.
i know two couples that are going through fertility sessions (or whatever you call it) at asian hospital. ill ask them who theyre seeing.
I went to dr. Gonzaga of medical city for fertility work up. nag miscarry kasi ako eh. Success naman. Second child, i went to Dra. Granados of Cardinal. She's kinda familias with the APAS syndrome na one cause of infertility .
Sa part ng guy, madali lang yan. (Im assuming sya *** i-checheck kc u said ur ovulating naman). A sperm sample shall be requested by the doctor. And after an hour or so, the results shall come out. The ff are the critical factors : Sperm count shd be at least 60 Million per ejaculation; motility shd be forward; quality shd be 85% good para less chance na may defect si baby.
If guy succeeds in his manhood test, then next question is: regular k b mag-ovulate? If regular, u guys just have to time your act on that day. Pag hindi, medyo kailangan dalasan ito to tip the law of probability to your side. Instead of doing it every other day for a year, i suggest, you do it twice a day for a month, then see what happens. It worked for many who have irregular periods.
