People's complaining about the same argument being put up on this thread...
Question: how could you change it if after four years nothing really changed at all? Kobe is still kobe and LeBron?...
well, he now has Wade, that's the only development i know.
Not that it isn't redundant, I think our part here is to rebattle the argument of LBJ fans that LeBron is better than Kobe and not the other way around. So if they can't come up with new point of argument to support their stand and would answer "ring + 4th quarter + playoff choke" then zip, end.
@HenryJ
The thing is, I am neither a fan of LeBron and Kobe, in fact I dislike them both. The thing that is pretty obvious in this thread is that the biased fanbases will twist their arguments in favor of their boy.
Kobe fans will look at it from a career vs. career standpoint - which Kobe obviously wins because of his championships, mostly ignoring the fact that LeBron has had a better season individually (and for 4 straight years now)
LeBron fans will look at it from their performance per season, this season, even Kobe fans can't deny LeBron is better because of stats, mostly ignoring what Kobe has done throughout his career (win championships + other individual accolades).
That's why we need to be clear, are we supposed to compare them from an all-time standpoint or per performance every season?
GOLD!
"We give a person what is rightfully due of him."
LeBron for the past couple of years or so has been the better individual performer, anyone who would argue is sick.
But if someone say better, he should at least avoid making the notion which involves and drags down to when both players started. He should know what he is comparing. Being better in shooting doesn't make a player a whole lot better than the rest, being able to carry a sub-par team doesn't make one from a relatively stronger team any less. And lastly, it's but unfair to compare a SF/PF player to a shooting guard.
Perhaps, people should start comparing LBJ to KD now that the latter is making a name of his own just as when the former was making it to the mainstream as well.
"If you can have talent, achievement and popularity altogether, being able to carry it for quite an era, and perhaps leave a "history" to the league even after you retire the game, then that would make you a better player, that's where my standpoint is."
About being bias, well, "where you stand is where you sit" bud, can't take that away from them, you earn that once you become a fan.
this should another period to the kobe vs lebron debate.
kobe and company won a ring against the celtics, and it looks like ... well ... lebron and company will lose to them again.![]()
Nothing has changed. LeBron has been better individually for at least 3 years. Kobe still outranks LeBron in the all time list.
Unless the king will get his 1st crown.......this is absolutely a no brainer.
Can someone make a LeBron James vs. Kevin Durant thread instead? We all know majority of pexers are pro-kobe anyway. Mas konti ang bias pag LBJ vs. KD.

Kobe>LeBron>Durant
Durant's defense is underrated. He can guard both perimeter players and post players and both on and off the ball. LBJ > KD > KB on D.
Also, Durant is arguably a better rebounder than LeBron. With Durability, he also relies on athleticism less than LBJ and Kobe did as well, I think he should take that one too.
After Durant gets his 1st Championship Ring this year then KD > LBJ
both are different players, position, and style.
simple lang,
its the dawning of the LJames era and the twilight of the KByrant era.
Its KD and LBJ's turn now... from a Kobetard
