    is there ONE PERSON or ONE COMPANY i can talk to who will do all these things for me? its easier to talk to one person.

    I can help you with that. You can send me an email about the details at admin at webpinas dot com so we can discuss everything. I have a team ready for this kind of work.

    If you want something like PEX with other features, you might as well drop by at http://www.pointpinas.com to see if that's the stuff you need or something more complicated. We have created that website for the filipino masses. The time of delivery of the website is about 1 to 2 weeks depending on the needed features. If you want to talk to me via mobile phone, my number is 09158162364

    About the pricing, it depends upon the agreement. 40k can be for for the website alone if it is very complicated. Or you can hire someone to do everything you need for about 10 to 30k per month. Or get some contractors. Anyway, no matter what kind of stuff it is, as long as it is web development or anything related to the internet, i can help you with that with my team.

    [QUOTE=upnextlevel;24103409]i that 40K+ a one time cost or monthly?[QUOTE]

    it would usually just be a one-time cost.. there could be additional recurring monthly costs if you would have your website maintained for you..

    we own domain names in godaddy already. and part of the price is they can host the website for free in their servers. that means i can have a design made and get the website online already? anyone know how to do that?

    yup, they will host it for free but usually at a smaller space, probably 5-10MB. basically, you just have to get someone to design and make the pages for you

    some webhosts would charge you extra if you want to have additional scripts or software installed on your site, but you can download most of them for free.

    if you want a hassle-free forum, you can head over to www.proboards.com, they're a forum-hosting company and you can create your own forums for free, no extra cost, then you can just create a link on your site to your proboards forum.

    Yes, there's lot of free forums out there like phpbb and fireboard. The fee will depend upon the script you want to use and the web developer. For example, on our side as web developers, we include in the contract the needed features of the site with fees on it. If the client really wants to use paid scripts and just want it overhauled, we can do it for him. If he or she wants a custom script, then we will create it for him or her.

    Here's a good example i just did last night. The client wants an interactive website with dynamic design and information, so we created it for him.

    http://www.mybetasite.uni.cc

    Of course that is not the limitation of the design and the features. You can also check out my website at http://www.pointpinas.com that it features some advance scriptings like forum with videos, group creations and image and file uploading. The websites features are limitless as long as you dont close your mind. Of course, the maintenance is also getting harder if you have more features in it.

    how can i contact you? i am planning to have a classified ads website and i am looking for a web designer. please pm me. thanks.

    beware of webhosting companies esp. the local ones who will cheat you on your bandwith, parang metro ng taxi and then try to upsell you a higher plan for a bigger pay. transferring to another webhost later is a nightmare. So choose well initially.

    isnt bandwidth determined and therefor contracted at the start? ano ba ang impact ng lower bandwidth?

    A script is an online program, just like this website. The advantages of scripts (or online programs) are they make stuffs easier for you like updating or anything that is featured on the script.

    Bandwidth determines on how your data will be distributed. Example is if you have 1GB bandwidth, that means you have 1GB data to distribute.

    For newbies, heres a more briefer example of bandwidths.

    1GB bandwidth
    1 page to open that is about 500Kb

    1GB - 500kb = 999.500 Kb remaining bandiwdth

    Please be reminded that when it comes to web server terms, 1MB is 1000Kb not 1024Kb

    @hubcap

    in layman's term, bandwith po is yung gano kadami magvivisit sa site nyo, yung macoconsume ng each visitor, e kung marami kang hits or pageviews, yari ang bandwith mo. malalaman mo na lang over ka na sa subscribed bandwith mo. then lalabas pag may pupunta sa site mo pag over ka na sa qouta is "Bandwith limit exceeded", wala na yung content ng site mo. every month po ang renew ng bandwith, so kung march 15 pa lang ubos na ang bandwith mo, hanggang march 31, di accessible content ng site mo. UNLESS, and that's how the Pinoy webhosting companies makes a raket, they will sell you a higher plan or worst a dedicated server plan na super mahal.

    pano kung wala kang pera, e di bye bye website..saka pano kung nag spike ang traffic mo, naging popular ang website mo, e konti lang bandwith na nabili mo, e di bye bye din..

    kaya when choosing a webhost, try the foreign ones, usually kasi karamihan ng local, reseller lang, ibig sabihin, binili nila dun din sa foreign, then ibebenta nila ng tingi tingi...

    kaya beware of webhosting scams!

    Quoting this, this is in terms half true as of this time. I have a webhosting firm here in the philippines, the client can either upgrade or add bandwidth depending on their usage. And not all pinoy hosting companies do create scams. I always make sure my plans ARE elastic, that means you can always upgrade or downgrade anytime. We're already planning of creating packages as high as 600GB space with 1.6 TB bandwidth for Php 600 next april. Anyway, i cant argue much, siguro by experience din. As of me, im changing the type of web hosting business here in the philippines.
