Most likely wala pa gagawin on the first day but you should not use it as an excuse to skip class. You'll never know if a professor will come in so if you're not in class, you'll of course be marked absent. Sayang ang absences! Use it for emergencies.

Do not skip your first class.

I did not and not many skipped our first day or week at all.

There's only a handful of students in the college that are in street clothing. You can easily spot them.

We had our freshman orientation which was ok. Then it dawned on the next day that what the dean/assistant dean said was true and it echoed through at almost every professor that we met as our class progressed. Homeworks started that second day and quiz the next meeting.

Some professors want to weed out the unwanteds fast. Some does it furious and merciless.

Time will fly so fast. Before you know it, it's already the end of term. And a good number of your classmates/blockmates will not be there by the next semester.

Study and do your homeworks and research.
Don't be fooled by the allure of our school spirit (watching UAAP, attending parties and such), if you can't juggle your academics (5 units and more of defeciency for freshmen-1st sem and you'll be on probation, next thing you'll know if you're not able to clear them is you're out of the school) and being engulfed by the UAAP and party frenzy, focus on your academics.

You can always look back at that school spirit. You'll be more proud and louder if you've managed to graduate.

You have a choice, and not everyone has that opportunity to go to UST or any good school. Do not waste it.

Take the opportunity to meet your classmates during the first day. Be friends with them. Enjoy the beauty of your new school. Take a stroll along Dapitan and nearby streets. Heave a sigh of relief that finally, you're out of high school and will soon battle it out in college. There are a lot to do on your first day and definitely, cutting class is not one of them.

    Goodluck!

Naalala ko 'yung Prof namin sa Zoology. First day ng klase nag pa-exam kaagad about sa Organ System and its Functions. Kamote tuloy ako, pero pasado.

Kami we had one on our 2nd meeting. The professor gave us a heads up to review during the first.

the first 10 chapters of the philosophy book was covered on a 5 item essay. boy, halos lahat nangamote (pati ako). a good number of them was totally clueless kasi wala noong 2nd day of class (our first meeting with our professors)

Thank you for the info. ^_^ that would surely help me a lot!

I still don't have my uniform, is it required to wear our uniform on the first and second day of school? Should I bring t-square, A3 paper and the like, on the first day? Aw i hope the professor wouldn't be so harsh on us.

    @missy1Ar-2
    archi ka pala, congrats!

  11. #91

Meron interview/talent test sa ibang colleges after mo mapasa 'yung exam.

Sila na 'yung mag-seset ng date of interview. Tapos ang purpose ng interview na 'yun. Kukunin nila 'yung grades mo noong High School, USTET Grade and Personality Interview. At pagsasamahin nila 'yun.

Fifty (50) kami nagsimula tapos 27 'ata pag-graduate.

  19. #99
it's not mortality rate. call it attrition rate.

    (at attrition rate pala dapat).

my ex-classmates who failed to graduate are still alive
