title pa lang ng thread nato biased and misleading na.

IMO, i think it's not fair to compare GMA's and Lozada's (Manila)surveys trust ratings.

GMA is the President of the Philippines while Lozada is the former president of Phil-forest whatever...

Sana nag conduct din sila ng survey dun sa mga empleyado ng Phil-Forest regarding Lozada's performance and their trust/distrust to this man.

the survey is driven by lozada's whistle blower expose in the senate and thats what in effect being measured here - with regards to the nbn deal/testimony, who has more trust/less trust.

and the fact that a lowly lozada, employee of a small govt corporation can outscore arroyo, the president of the country tells is very telling, an eloquent statement on how the people look at their president.

it tells you arroyo is really not being looked as the president of the country to be respected, trusted and believed. she is fast losing her power to govern this country.

    latest pulse asia survey:

    -----------
Most Filipinos are aware of the ZTE-NBN issue and the Senate testimony of Engr. Rodolfo Noel Lozada, Jr.; a majority (57%) considers Engr. Lozada to be a credible witness while a big plurality (42%) expresses trust in him

Furthermore, around eight in ten Filipinos (82%) are aware of Engr. Lozada’s testimony on the ZTE-NBN issue before the Senate while the rest (18%) has not heard or read of his testimony. Again, big to overwhelming majorities (71% to 99%) across geographic areas and socio-economic groupings report awareness of Engr. Lozada’s Senate testimony. Of those aware of his testimony, 57% consider Engr. Lozada to be a credible witness – a view shared by near to considerable majorities (47% to 65%) across geographic areas and socio-economic classes. On the other hand, less than one in ten (8%) thinks Engr. Lozada is not credible while 33% express ambivalence on the matter (See Table 6A).

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo scores majority disapproval and distrust ratings in March 2008

The unresolved controversies that continue to hound the incumbent national administration appear to be taking its toll on President Arroyo as about one in two Filipinos (51%) expresses criticism for her performance in the previous quarter. Additionally, 57% of Filipinos distrust the President (Table 1). Both figures are significantly higher than those recorded in October 2007 (39% and 46%, respectively). On the other hand, President Arroyo posts nearly the same approval and indecision ratings (23% and 26%, respectively) and almost the same percentages of Filipinos express either trust or ambivalence (19% versus 23%). Between October 2007 and March 2008, there is a 7-percentage point drop in presidential approval ratings while the level of indecision as regards public trust or distrust in the President declines by 8 percentage points (See Table 2 and Table 3).

Anong bagong strategies na naman kaya ang gagawin ng Malacanang at magkanong uutangin na naman para kahit papaano ay ma improve ng admin ang public image ni Madame PGMA?

  7. #127
^^^ the admin will not do anything and that actually is one of the biggest faults of this admin - they don't care what the people think, they only care about what they want to do. this admin does not care that the people disapprove of their performance, nor do they care that they are not doing things that the people like them to do.

Opposition senators top latest Pulse Asia survey

    Philippine Daily Inquirer
    First Posted 05:37:00 03/25/2008

MANILA, Philippines—Virtually all senators enjoyed near to big majority approval ratings, with opposition senators scoring better than their counterparts aligned with the administration, according to results of the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia Inc.

“Filipinos are most appreciative of the work done by Senators Loren Legarda (79 percent), Francis Escudero (77 percent), Francis Pangilinan (76 percent) and Manuel Roxas II (72 percent),” Pulse Asia said Monday.

Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III got an approval rating of 69 percent, while Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, Senate blue ribbon committee chair, registered an approval rating of 68 percent.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson scored an approval rating of 67 percent, while Sen. Jamby Madrigal garnered 65 percent.

    Biggest gainers

Madrigal and Cayetano were among the biggest gainers in terms of approval ratings between the October 2007 and March 2008 survey rounds, along with Pangilinan.

Madrigal gained 10 percentage points (from 55 percent in October to 65 percent in March), while Pangilinan gained 9 percentage points, from 67 percent to 76 percent. Cayetano gained 8 percentage points, from 60 percent to 68 percent.

Aquino and Lacson gained 4 percentage points each (from 65 percent to 69 percent, and 63 percent to 67 percent, respectively).

    Senators with low ratings

The lowest approval ratings were recorded by Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri (41 percent), Joker Arroyo (45 percent) and Richard Gordon (49 percent).

The survey was conducted while the Senate was holding televised hearings on the scrapped $329-million National Broadband Network deal with China’s ZTE Corp.

The nationwide survey was conducted from Feb. 21 to March 8 using face-to-face interviews with a multistage probability sample of 1,200 adults. The survey had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points. Kate Pedroso, Inquirer Research

    -----

its interesting that even the senators who were very vocal against corruption and getting to the truth in the nbn deal are getting good ratings from the people.

The darker cloud is that we are being led out of our deepest misfortune by the one person we least trust. We are being led by a person who likes to place over an alternate reality on this country, or who likes to put a billboard proclaiming an Enchanted Kingdom on a pigsty. She says Filipinos are tired of “political noise.” All the surveys say Filipinos are tired of her, three out of every five of them saying they do not trust her. She says Filipinos have never had it better over the past 30 years, enjoying as they do today wondrous growth. Even official figures show the dirt-poor have grown from 30 percent to 33 percent of the population. She says her government has gotten rid of corruption. The Political and Economic Risk Consultancy says, “Ha ha ha!” or a more polite version of it, which is to rank the Philippines the rankest country in Asia for two straight years now.

She has even gotten to the point where she now believes she can superimpose that alternate reality not just on Filipinos but on the world’s businessmen and leaders, declaring in Hong Kong that she has gotten rid of corruption in her country.
