@PoshBoss, pareho silang accessible by public transport.

You can take a bus at SM North and alight a Congressional and take a jeep there that will drop you right in front of Causeway. It's a 15 minute ride I think. If you to decide to go to Mario's in Tomas Morato, Right there at SM North you can take the jeep that heads for Quiapo via West Avenue and alight at Delta. From there, cross the footbridge, walk towards Timog and take a jeep to get you to Tomas Morato.

    Schedules are as follows:

    CaMaNaVa Brunch Toastmasters Club
    March 14 & 28, 2009, Saturday, 10:30AM
    Causeway Seafood Restaurant,
corner Banawe and Del Monte avenues, QC

    Emperor Mandarin Toastmasters Club
    March 18, 25 (Mandarin session) & April 1 2009, Wednesday, 7:30PM
    Causeway Seafood Restaurant,
corner Banawe and Del Monte avenues, QC

    Greenhills PRIME Toastmasters Club
    March 12 & 26, Thursday, 7:00PM
    Mario's Restaurant
Tomas Morato corner Scout Gandia, QC

Toastmasters Philippines Division A Speech Contest
    April 4, Saturday, 1:00PM
    Meralco TSB Auditorium,
    Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City

Division A consists of 26 clubs divided into 5 areas. The contest will pit all the 5 area champions in 3 categories--impromptu, humorous, and international speeches. The winners advance to the national championship which will be held in Davao this May.

Division contests also serve as a venue for Toastmasters members of various clubs to get together. We will be scheduling a get together of Area 4 clubs (CaMaNaVa, Emperor, Greenhills, and Presidents) and friends right after the contest.

@Krakista, thanks. I might go to Camanava Brunch Club tomorrow. Medyo makulit ako, if I'm coming from SM North I can take a bus going to Novaliches/Bayan right, and alight Congressional (KFC) I will take a jeep going to NIA or Circle C/Cherry correct?

  3. #83
@PossBoss, I think all buses pass through Congressional including those bearing Monumento. You have to take a jeep that goes the other side. Take the ones on S&R side. There is a Causeway Restaurant along Congressional but that's not the one where we're holding TM sessions.

    Can I Join

    Hi,

Really want to join Toast Master Club. I worked in Ortigas. I hope you can help me.

    Thank you.

  14. #94
    xhris, you definitely can join.

Three clubs have actually left the Ortigas area recently--Toast of Mensa, OCCI, and Greenhills PRIME. Both Toast of Mensa and OCCI have closed shop and their franchises were taken over by Union Bank and DESCO, respectively. Greenhills PRIME has moved its meeting place to Mario's Tomas Morato. There's still one club left in Ortigas and that's Molave and I can hardly recommend that club.

So your options are really down to Presidents Toastmasters Club which meets at Legend Villas along Pioneer, El Presidente Toastmasters Club which meets at Max's Shaw Blvd., and Greenhills PRIME.

All these are good clubs so pick one.

This week's meeting is a Mandarin session. In the educational segment I will be teaching you how to type in pinyin to produce Chinese characters. It's so much easier than you think.

    Hi,

I want to join too. I work in Pasig and am interested in joining either the shaw or greenhills club.

Who shall i get in touch with and when's your next session? I just want to observe and see if I'm cut for this club.

I am quite a nervous speaker so this might help me overcome my stage fright.

    Thanks guys.
