Any other JM fans here? I just love his album. Not one bad track on it. Just wow.

You Give Me Something was superb.

I'll check on iTunes to listen to his other tracks.

You Give Me Something is one of my favorites. Although that's not really saying much because, as I said, I love all of the tracks. Heh.

I guess there aren't too many Pinoy JM fans, or, at least, not too many of them here at PEx. Too bad, as his album is quite a gem.

Hmm.. Let me browse his tracks via iTunes. I can quickly judge by its tracks if the album is worth buying or not. Thanks.

Uy may thread na si JM. Fan here hehe. First heard him when Jam 88.3 started playing "You Give Me Something" a couple of years ago, i think. Got his album almost as soon as they released it here. For a while, YGMS was on constant repeat in my player. "Undiscovered" is a good pop album. You're right, I can listen to it all the way through, and still go back to track one. Di nakakasawa. He has that breathy, raspy thing quality in his vocals, which somehow adds a layer of rawness and honesty to his songs. Favorite tracks (aside from YGMS): Wonderful World, The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore, The Last Goodbye and the title track.

    i'm not lost, no no,
    just undiscovered

TPDFA is probably my favorite (if I'm forced to name just one) track, too. It doesn't have the same hook that YGMS has, but I agree it totally makes you feel the singer's silent pain and resignation to the situation. A totally senti song that is not oversang or "over-emoted" the way most senti songs are.

I so agree with your description of his voice and songs! It's nice to see that there are, after all, others here that share my appreciation of JM and his music, which I believe to be still largely undiscovered (pun unintended) here in the Philippines (regrettably). I myself only "discovered" JM last year when a fan of Elliott Yamin (who I also like) mentioned that EY sounds a bit like JM. Since I like EY's voice, I immediately checked out JM's album in the record store. After hearing a bit of just the first three tracks from the album, I immediately decided to buy the disc. The rest is history.

So do I! I actually planned to fly to Kuala Lumpur in December for the Live and Loud musicfest to see him (and Elliott Yamin) but that didn't pan out. I was, however, just a very new fan then. Right now, though, if JM were to perform anywhere in Asia, I would definitely go! Of course, JM in Manila would just totally rock! *prays*

Hell, I don't know why i picked up this album. It is clearly another one of those typical solo male artists. It rested on my stash for a long time. When I finally had a full attention to the album I was stumped. Same crying lyrics with a crying voice ... and I liked it. Played it for a whole day once actually.
