Animo Benilde.
Am still not up for the whole Benilde is LS thing. Benilde is Benilde. If Benilde is La Salle then shouldnt Letran be UST? or Xavier be Ateneo? Anyway, point is, we are not La Salle.
If LS wins then I'm happy as a brother, but wouldnt you rather support yourself rather than your brother? Wouldnt you rather see yourself win? My two cents.![]()

Kung mangyari edi ok. Pero DLSU winning it all? Hard to imagine. LS has yet to win their first Over-all crown(General Championship in the UAAP) while we had already won it all this season(well, maybe except basketball). I will only start to support La Salle if Benildeans would start supporting and putting Benilde before LS.

I agree with you. Benildeans should really root first for your school. Kelangan niyo lang talaga iorganize sarili niyo. For us Manila, probably na establish na namin ang identity namin that's why parang madali na sa amin mag support ng brother schools kasi whether manalo kami or not, La Sallians are still there behind the team. Anyway, you can do it. Every school go through that process.
Passionate ka talaga sa CSB, haha! Tuloy, mo lang yan!By the way, are you a frosh student in CSB?

Get_Blazed: I really admire you passion for our college. I do hope there are more Benildeans like you. How I wish, I'm still in college bu I graduated back in 2002 and haven't watched a game since our runner-up finished the same year.
About Letran and UST, they are both Dominican schools (correct me if im wrong) but they came from different origins and different systems unlike Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and XS wherein they're under one system under the Loyola schools. Same goes with DLS-CSB, DLSU-Canluban, DLSU-Dasmariñas, DLSU-Manila, and the list goes on.
Probably nauna lang ang DLSU-Manila kaya parang when you say La Salle, Manila na agad yun. Though i see your point that each of the schools in a system should have its own identity. Kumbaga dapat din may distinction among the member schools.
We Keep the Faith.

DLSU-M is getting there. It might happen in 2011. In reality, all the other sports were really hit hard by the suspension. Technically, we are starting all-over again in planting the seeds.
Man, It seems to me that you really want to cut CSB from the La Salle System or De La Salle Philippines. I understand your desire to make benildeans support their own. Believe it or not, we at DLSU-M also have problems getting support. Maybe not as much in Basketball but bleed for support in other sports. The key to get support is winning. Then make it a tradition. Put them together with successful and prominent alumni then that will jump start the school pride and keep it burning. With Gee Abanila at the helm of your basketball program, the winning tradition can start now.
Greenergy is right, it is easy for us to support our brothers because we already have established ourselves. For us, seeing our brothers getting the same success as what we have is a reason for celebration.
I agree with you that it is much better to see yourself win but it also painful to see your brother lose.
Anyway, your passion is commendable. You have my respect. Just be rational yet passionate and look for other students and alumni that has the same passion as yours and support your teams through thick and thin.
Animo!
Nope, I'm actually entering my Junior year this May. Majors na.![]()
Well maybe its time we gather and watch games again, bago pumila at bumili ng UAAP tix sa scalpers, magpahingi ng tix sa SDO sa mga kakilalang nsa Benilde pa.![]()

The same way you do not address Xavier as Ateneo, you should not address Benilde as La Salle. Same system, different institutions. Hope you get the point here.![]()

Winning just aint enough, it seems. See, we almost grabbed all medals in all sports last season but still, the support aint there. Kung kayo nga established na basketball program nyo nahihirapan parin kumuha ng support for other sports eh. Kami pa kayang kawawa sa basketball. Anyway, point taken, brother.![]()

pwedeng paki-share din ang winning passion sa ibang pang sports? benilde and la salle osd should have an open-forum dialogue to discuss progressions and prospects in their athletics.
especially in recruitment. i think it's about time we share resources. probably the setup is we could help you with sports that you are not faring well in and vice versa. sino sino ba naman ang magtutulungan kung hindi ang magkakapatid.
not to give no credit to our lasallian athletes but we need help now to capture that elusive first gen cship. as in help from champions.
I agree, resource-sharing does not end with the library.![]()
Animo Benilde! haha. Sana maka abot sa Final four sa susunod na season. Anyway, may update na ba dun sa Benilde Sports Complex? Nabasa ko lang dati sa The Benildean.
Benilde's problem is the same problem of other La Salle schools through out the archipelago. Parating Green Archers na lang ang pinaguusapan. I know that the Green Archers basketball team has a winning tradition but let us not forget that there are also other La Salle teams besides the Green Archers. My suggestion is that we convert one of the 4 La Salle websites (AP, GA.NET, LASALISTA.COM AND ONE LA SALLE) into a website dedicated to La Salle sports of other La Salle schools except DLSU. It is through this website all La Sallians can interact when it comes to sports. It is only through this that a La Sallian student, regardless of what La Salle Campus they are in, would have a more intimate knowledge of what is happening in the sport organization their brother schools are participating. It is hard to cheer for a team one does not know anything about.
Hmm. I guess they tried to do that with the mentioned sites. Heard there was forums for such different La Salle system schools but for what, 'nilalangaw'. Siguro kung may Benildeans na nandun eh andun sa thread ng Green Archers shouting "Animo La Salle". You get my point.
And yes, I'd still rather be a Benildean than a La Sallian. Share victories and defeats only within the Benildean community.![]()

I think you took it the wrong way, bro. Its because La Sallians wouldnt give a hoot about Benilde's victories and whatnot, what more about the defeats. And to further prevent Benildeans to be pulled toward the other side and make them support CSB less is what we are trying to prevent here. hope you get what I really meant.![]()
