They need to devise a better strategy in doing battle against the defending champions. They can't just roll over and die like they did here in the quarterfinals. If there's one thing we can expect from Coach Richard, it's a lot of "affection" for his players to the point that he will smother them with "sweet words" before, during, and after a game.

  2. #3622

Just point the way and I'll see what I can do for your thread in the UAAP!

I keep an open mind with some of the usual trolls and counter-trolls here but I put the limit when needed. You have to expect that in people who disguise themselves in message boards like PEx. They love getting a rise out of pexers and counterparts and they feed on that energy! It really takes you to a whole new level of maturity!

  7. #3627
Well I'm hoping Coach RDR was watching the game live or he will have to grab a copy of a replay of this game from Coach Gee!

The Blazers are not exactly blessed with bigger players that can give Ola a hard time in the paint but they can at least learn from what DLSU had in mind with their own big men clogging lanes and showing resiliency unlike their counterparts who favored scoring via ping-pong balls in plastic cups with beer.

I'm guessing the breaks were not going for SBC in this match and the Archers capitalized on the low shooting percentage that was not only sure to complete a shocker but also shut out the last formidable NCAA team from the FilOil finals! I guess they will have to move on like what we will have to do and prepare.

May madadagdag pa kaya sa line up ng CSB? or yung line up sa Filoil yun na din ang Line up sa NCAA

That's basically them minus Fikowski who can't suit up because of academic deficiencies. But who knows? Maybe he can still be eligible if his grades improve before the season begins but if not, then we will have to make do with what we have, again.

Fikowski over Jan Tan, any day. Sigh. I hope he gets activated.

What we have may not be enough, if it means starting Tan at center again.

  11. #3631
Tan is a decent perimeter asset but his height alone is not utilized to the hilt. He did make some vital adjustments last season and I hope that he can be stronger in rebounding and boxing out in the paint. We will have to make do with him plus Bartolo and Carlos helping out inside. Play with the cards that were dealt to us and let's hope we can do more wins this year!

  12. #3632

  13. #3633
We can only hope that he can suit up by next year or the coaching staff should just get a decent big man who doesn't have problems. Makes you realize the reason why Lasalle's Team D had to let him go. I'm also banking on Ongtenco doing better this season and take this opportunity to prove his worth after helping in the Squires campaign to a decent 2nd place finish in the juniors many years ago.

    Uh....

I'm not really as active as I used to be in watching Blazers games live and I'm not exactly familiar with jersey numbers. Why?

Sigh, AKTV just forced MANCOM to move the opening to SMART-Araneta! I would've preferred to take a sneak peek of the new SM MOA Arena if the basketball games were there.

Now the UAAP gets dibs on the SM MOA Arena.

  18. #3638

It's not entirely NCAA MANCOM's fault that they have to move back to SMART-Araneta since they didn't foresee the dilemma when they decided to sign that new tie-up in coverage. The powers-that-be of AKTV/TV5 are partly to blame for the conflict that brewed and they may have offered something in exchange for a resolution.

Gooner - I know right? In american football jargon, this is what we call a "fumble" in MOA.
