is it being pinoy that makes us showoffs?
or simply we don't know the lessons of "keeping up with the jonesses"?

either way, even they are true, i'll stick to being presentable

If that's not japorms na hindi naman carry, i don't know what you call that...

It's a very smart practice, actually. It keeps kidnappers and assassins/inggiteros away.

yeah i see what you mean, i just hate those people who feels that they're better than everybody else when they are obviously not... like this person i went to thames with before, she insists she's all that when its obvious that she's not.

Yep. I tend to agree with this. I have encountered both Sen. Villar himself and his daughter way back in university ( I'm a couple of years older though) and I was pleasantly surprised to discover they were such simple folks. Walang kaere-ere. To think the Villars are the richest ethnic Filipinos around, (meaning walang halong Chinese or Spanish blood). Galing talaga.

Sosyal noh..

i know walang masama dun, pero kung inipon mo na lang muna yung pera mo para pang downpayment ng bahay or at least condo (and buy a cheap car muna) at least habang tumatagal nag a-appreciate ang value ng investment mo compared sa kotse na kahit anong accessories ang ilagay mo, kahit lagyan mo ng 10 gulong yan, mag de-depreciate and value nyan.

but then again, pera nila yun.

    astig ang thread na to!

pero for me, tingin ko, yung mga taong mahilig mag-show offng mga gadgets na meron sila, proud lang sila na nagkaroon sila ng ganon. siguro kasi nag-effort sila na magkaron ng mahal na celfone, ng magarang kotse, and all. for them, it's like an achievement, kaya gusto nilang ipakita.. para i-commend sila for the effort they gave for that. ^_^
