New UP Class Schedule

Simula AY 08-09, ang karaniwang linggo ng bawat Isko ay magsisimula tuwing Martes at sa halip na walang pasok sa kalagitnaan ng linggo ay lagi nang may long weekends.

Personally, nakakainis dahil I always look forward to Wednesdays. After a stressful Monday or Tuesday, I at least have the mid-week to take a breather.

IMO, this will only breed a less productive student body. Professors will probably lessen their requirements seeing as how they have to consider their students' being busy throughtout the work week. To add to that, the stress level of students build up throughout the week so come Thursday or Friday, they're less likely to perform as well as they could have had they been given the Wednesday break that we have now.

Of course on the flipside, this move was in response to PGMA's Holiday Economics. But I would like to think professors can and will find a way to make up for classes that have been suspended (e.g. by moving at a faster pace; holding extension classes)

I still think wala namang dapat baguhin. Wala na bang magagawa tayong mga hamak na mag-aaral lamang?

Kung lecture class kayang gawan ng paraan. Pero kung lab class ng 1 day a week lang kung magkita at fully utilized na yung laboratory room mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes mahirap.

I dont mind the new sked. Allows me to go on out-of-towners for the weekend...unless of course magbigay ng exam ng sabado o lunes. Pabor din yan sa mga umuwi sa nearby provinces given that weekends are longer.

i'm not in favor but it's all psychological i guess. wednesday is a 'breathing' day para sa mga tiga UP. i feel ibabalik din ang wednesday break soon dahil mare realize nilang di rin magwo work yang 'long holiday' na yan.ang UP students minsan, kahit linggo, pumapasok parin. kadalasan nga ng exam namin ay linggo e.

Naku buti na lang at matagal na akong graduate...

Pero I feel for those students who will be affected by the change. This has been in place for the longest time in our beloved University.

OK lang iyan. May maninibago pero pagkatapos ng 1 sem di na mapapansin yan. Yung kalakaran ngayon sa Diliman na Miyerkules ang magaan na araw noong 2nd sem 1984-1985 nagsimula. Bago diyan Biyernes ang magaan na araw. May mga umangal din naman noong 1984-1985 pero tumahimik din.

I personally don't like it. for me, Wednesday is my sanity break. It's a breather after 2 days of class, i can absorb whatever I learned on MT before the ThF classes. It makes the week faster for me (which is good ha). Feeling ko kapag walang Wednesday break, the week will be draaaggggggggiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg. hay
