How can they salvage this season?
I'm happy I'm not the Bobcats GM right now... What a VERY *&!@#(*@!#&!(ed up team they have at the moment.
There are several factors and culprits for the abysmal performance of the Bobcats this season. Gerald Wallace has regressed and Stephen Jackson is a turnover machine and spends too much time complaining on the referees whenever he misses a shot and doesn't get a foul instead of going back to the defense.
Larry Brown doesn't want to be in Charlotte anymore since before the training camp. But MJ held him on his contract. And the coach's rotation and substitution pattern has been disgusting this season and the players aren't listening to him anymore so he has his share of faults with the Bobcats' losses.
As for Raymond Felton, yes, he's a major loss for the team. As LB said it, "he died when Felton left". He's been the heart and the leader for the Bobcats on the court (which DJ Augustin isn't) and in the locker room. He's taking responsibility for all the things even if he's not the one to blame.
I'm just glad he's doing well in your Knicks team. He's no Chris Paul or Deron Williams, but he has a huge heart for the game.
Letting go of Felton and Chandler was a financial decision. The franchise is losing millions and keeping Felton and Chandler would get them over the cap. Jordan has been stern that he'll not pay for the luxury tax unless they're contending for a title. But I'm optimistic that the Bobcats will have more financial flexibility in the future.
I hope so. But the problem with Tyrus Thomas is his basketball IQ.
I was upset when Jordan said that "at minimum, we should make the playoffs and should go deep into the playoffs." It would be real hard for the Bobcats to go into the playoffs with the "talent" that they have and the tightened competition in the East; especially now that they're about to blow the team up. The people who bought into what he said will be disappointed now and the franchise could lose a couple of STH for next season.
They are lottery bound since the beginning. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, the 2011 draft doesn't have many talents and the front office has been horrible in drafting.
ang gulo ng bobcats ngayon bakit paranh hindi sila interesadong maghabol sa mga fa superstars? hindi uunlad yung team nila kung hindi sila gagastos tsk tsk tsk
I kinda saw the change in this team coming. I just hoped that LB would stay until the end of the season. Oh well...
I'm not much excited with Silas taking over the team. I'd prefer to see what Dave Hanners can do as the interim head coach but the whole coaching staff was let go.
Malabo naman kasi talaga makabingwit ng marquee player ang Bobcats sa 2010 FA class. Siguro sa 2012 or 2013 pwede pa.
mj should get some notable f.a's sa 2012 free agency class.
ngayong 2010 at 2011, mukha namang lottery bound sila, eh di at least kung nasa first 5 or 10 sila sa 2011 at 2012 draft, they should get the best talent available.
puwede ba silang makakuha ng top pick sa 2011 or sa 2012?
kapag sa 2011 kunin nila si harrison barnes.
they should get young talents that can grown to attract big time free agents.
they should get better talent scouts, hahahaha
i mean sinong marquee player ang gugustuhin maglaro para sa charlotte bobcats?
jordan should really do his best to improve his team. they should start by building in the draft like what the okc thunder did, they should start by picking up some studs in the draft.. please no more adam morrison and kwame brown types hahaha..
look at this, http://www.nbadraft.net/2011mock_draft
the projected first overall pick is perry jones, kyrie irving is not even projected to join the draft, they are already projecting that la clippers will get the no 1 overall pick next year.. if ever they won the lottery again, lucky b*tches haha.. i dont think they will pick up perry jones, it will create a logjam at the pf position,
i think the clippers will pick harrison barnes,
c-kaman
pf-griffin
sf-barnes
sg-gordon
pg-bledsoe
while the bobcats, can trade for more draft picks, then pick up perry jones and start from there.
Baron Davis appears to be headed back to Charlotte?
Interesting. Captain Jack and Baron Davis re-union? Now if Kaman is included in the potential deal being reported by A-Hole (A.Woj); the Bobcats season MIGHT JUST BE SAVED... well, to qualify for the 8th seed at least.
^Honestly, I'd rather have them blow up the team and start over.
They have been like this for years. A border line playoff team who are not good enough to win a series and are not losing enough to have a chance to get a can't miss draft prospect.
^
Jordan won't blow this up and collect picks. He's losing tons of money. He can't and won't afford to do a Rebuild. Unfortunately, they'll be "Trying" to make a "successful" season out of this, and sneak in to the Playoffs; to once again bow down eventually.
they haven't won a playoff game yet, one win, heck even making it again, would be an "achievement" this season your Airness
jordan should really never be let near a front office position. not even a front executive desk
I don't see Jordan having an NBA related 'business' except the front office. He's too impatient to be a coach. He's to proud to be a courtside reporter or analyst like Barkley does.
he should just be sticking to promote his brand
