I got ps3 slim last Christmas ... and my social life has spiraled downwards.

I think for any console 3 to 5hrs should be enough but that's me.

I've known people to play 6-9hrs long but with my experience on the 360 (RRoD), I find 3-5hrs is a safe run time for a console then rest the console and then in a few hours play again.

As for cooling... my suggestion keep your console clean (especially the exhaust and intake vent), keep your console on a cool area (not in closed in a closet) and not on top any heat absorbing material like a bed sheet and point an electric fan on your console. This 3 rules I've used and has worked wonders on my consoles.

As for me, I've never played more than 3 hours too. Maybe Final Fantasy XIII would change that.

Same here, we use our PS3 for 8+ hours straight with no problems on weekends

Yung sabi kong 3hrs per day na playing time hindi nasunod, nag marathon mode me. LOLZ!

San mo binili sir yun PS3 Slim mo, usually libre palinis dun sa shop na binilhan mo coz they usually give you like a shop warranty either lifetime or a few months. So my suggestion muna is go back to the shop you purchased it, malay mo maka libre ka.

What if kung from abroad mo nabili yun PS3? Sa akin kasi galing US at so far malinis pa naman ito.. pero kung dumating ang panahon ka kailangan ko na sya palinis, may recommendation ba kayo?

Sa Greenhills sir magtanong tanong ka dun magkano palinis, as for kung mabilis dumumi, I can't really say pero ang PS3 ko is almost 2 1/2yrs now at di parin ako nagpapalinis. lolz!

It depends talaga sa upkeep ng environment of your PS3. Pag dusty yung area, malamang madudumihan yung console. So just keep your gaming area tidy at all times na lang.

Ayus talaga ang UC2. Minor gripe ko lang sa game na to - parang blurry yung character mo parang sa Bionic Commando.

I bought Uncharted 2: Among Thieves few weeks ago pero I haven't played it yet. I'm still quite hooked with DA:O I hardly sleep these days. PS3 is baaad for one's health.

I have read/write access to the entire system memory, and HV level access to the processor. In other words, I have hacked the PS3. The rest is just software. And reversing. I have a lot of reversing ahead of me, as I now have dumps of LV0 and LV1. I've also dumped the NAND without removing it or a modchip.

3 years, 2 months, 11 days...thats a pretty secure system

Took 5 weeks, 3 in Boston, 2 here, very simple hardware cleverly applied, and some not so simple software.

Shout out to George Kharrat from iPhoneMod Brasil for giving me this PS3 a year and a half ago to hack. Sorry it took me so long

As far as the exploit goes, I'm not revealing it yet. The theory isn't really patchable, but they can make implementations much harder. Also, for obvious reasons I can't post dumps. I'm hoping to find the decryption keys and post them, but they may be embedded in hardware. Hopefully keys are setup like the iPhone's KBAG.
