Panasonic ang brand ng air-conditioner ko. Nung una, the reason why I wanted it was because it was more affordable compared to the other AC units on display.
Oks na oks siya, I've had it for almost 2 years at malamig pa din siya, haven't had any problems with it and does not consume that much energy. ( Which is a good thing considering how hot it was for the past few weeks).
We have Samsung split type ACs 1.5hp at home. Its cool and have to turn it off kung malamig na. I usually set it 24 degrees. I rarely set it to 16 degrees which is the lowest temperature. I think more than 1 year na.
Just got an Idec Split type to replace my barely 2 year old Panasonic 1.5hp. I know Idec has mixed reviews. Some are good and some are bad. But It all boils down to proper installation. I positioned the outdoor unit to avoid direct sunlight. And it performs really well.
Just ordered Panasonic inverter type A/C's. Their techs came over, but had surprising issues re indoor & outdoor unit height. I can only get 1 unit from them without too much room revision-- "just" a Panasonic-specified custom bracket. For the other rooms, there'll be design compromise if we stick with Panasonic. Placement of indoor & outdoor units will be awkward. Also, we'd like to avoid floor mounts & non-inverter driven hardware.
So I wonder about Hitachi's Set-Free system... they claim to have no issues with room height (ours is 11-13 ft), and can install 3-4HP inverter-type AC's. Further, one external unit is said to allow independent control in physically separate spaces.
Does anyone here have experience with Hitachi's system?
speaking of aircon, ok po ba yung split type aircon? im planning to buy kasi, feeling ko mas ok sya compare mo sa typical aircon na kelangan mo pa magbutas sa bintana, whereas sa spilt type eh ikakabit mo na lang sa pader. what do you think guys? and may tumutulo din ba yun like the typical aircon? sorry for ignorance. TIA
Other than being a bit pricey, talagang mas maganda ang split type aircon. Less noise, just a 2' hole in the wall. The blower is located conveniently and not obtrusively, maintenance and repairs are easier and no leaks. Theres split types that has 2 or more blowers it's like having two aircons with just one compressor.
I will go for the Carrier brand. Whats important is when you buy an aircon make sure the field service center is near you or they have one near the city you live. Maintenance are handled by authorized service center so make sure that the brand you buy has one nearby. So far Carrier has the most authorized service centers. Also IFAIK carrier is the most durable. Our is a Carrier and it's been running for 16 years and it has never broke down. Just the periodic check up and cleaning.
i read somewhere mahal daw maintenance ng split type aircon, abot ng 2k++, dahil kelangan pa daw pareho ibaba yung indoor and outdoor unit sa kinalalagyan for thorough cleaning...
pero meron din nag-sabi, di na kelangan kalasin both the indoor and outdoor unit, kelangan lang proper covering ng unit habang nililinis kaya fee is just minimal 1k++...
kamusta yung meron split type dito...?
tnx.
That 2k++ for cleaning is outrageous. Our out of warranty A/C units are maintained by Airconvenience. They charge around 700 for split type. We have 2 IDEC split type in our office since 2005, thank God they're still working.
Just have it cleaned every 3-4 months.
GoodLuck!
salamat sa pag-confirm ng aircon maintenance fee nyo... nagulat nga ako when i read it on one of the forums... meron naman nag-advise na mahal nga daw pero 1 lang yung nag-react that's why i brought it up dito... =))
thanks again jason_10, dolftrackz...!
owner ako ng hitachi AC. 3/4HP 110V. nabili ko sa pier, nasa morethan 3 yrs na itong AC pero wala pa din sira, tahimik and malamig, working pa din ang termostat nya. actually may heater din ito na built in, since 110 sya, groud system ginamit ko, 1.7thou a month bill ko and 12 to 15 hrs sya nakabuhay everyday. tataka nga ako bat ganito katipid sa kuryente, may kinalaman kaya ito sa ground system kaya mura? eversince di ko pa napapalinis *** AC, *** filter lang sa harap nalilinis ko, one time tumawag ako ng nag lilinis, di daw sila tumatanggap nung ganun klaseng ac kasi mahirap daw linisin, oldo window type sya pero pahaba na nakatayo, mas ok sana kung malilinis para mas lalong malamig eh, second hang lang ito, i think 1994 pa itong ac na ito, un nakalagay sa gilid eh. nabili ko 2.5thous. around 12 to 15sqm room ko, wit PC and TV. planning to buy new one, gusto ko hitachi pero sana kasing tatag at tipid nito like ng second hand na nabili ko, i think hitachi is the best. based sa old but still working AC ko, willing ko ito ibenta baka gusto nio haha, lipat kasi ako mas malaking room, nag sikip room ko simula nakabili ako ng 7cf na ref...
Sirs,
do you have any comments or feedbacks about the new hitachi inverter type window aircon?
Does it have the same energy saving features & cooling capacity as the split-type models of panasonic & hitachi?
Im planning to purchase one,so i need as many feedbacks & advices i can gather so i can make the right decison.
Thanks in advance,guys!![]()
any reviews and comments on panasonic envio?
were planning to install sa masters bedroom.
I was just talking to an a/c sales guy and he just told me that Inverters do not have a large economy margin compared to conventional A/Cs as claimed by manufacturers.
He claims that the only time you get to have these so called "savings" is if you have long running times for your unit. 4 to 6 hour running time electric consumption for an inverter a/c is just about the same as the conventional ones. He also mentions that parts and maintenance of invertet types are more expensive (cleaning and parts replacement).
Given that, it seems that it isn't as economical as what is advertised. Anyone would care to comment?
I am interested in getting a unit, mas mura ba kumuha nalang sa mall or anyone can recommend a good contractor?
You should be comparing inverter vs. non-inverter of the same cooling capacity, of course. For both, get the average electrical power consumption (in kilowatts) from the spec sheet or from the manufacturer. AVERAGE electrical power, not RATED power or MAXIMUM power.
Then compute the cost for the period of time that you want to make a comparison over:
(average-kilowatts) x (hours) x (pesos-per-kilowatt-hour) = pesos
For example, for a one-year period of 50 working weeks, used 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, the hours would be
(8 hr/day)(5 days/week)(50 weeks) = 2,000 hours
If you do this, post here the specific manufacturer/models that you compared, cooling capacity (hp or BTU/hr), average power consumption value that you used, and your calculations.
Everything depends on getting a good (i.e., official) AVERAGE POWER value, so make sure that it is good data from the manufacturer, not just someone's guesstimate or hearsay.
Hi Agave,
Would you know a good contractor for a/c?
Here's some of the information about my A/C project.
I have three rooms to cool:
13.23 sqm
11.85 sqm
