any new review of idec split type inverter? 1hp is just 16k anyone uses this? and what type of motor is idec using?

That 2k++ for cleaning is outrageous. Our out of warranty A/C units are maintained by Airconvenience. They charge around 700 for split type. We have 2 IDEC split type in our office since 2005, thank God they're still working.

Just have it cleaned every 3-4 months.

dO YOu know of any idec service center? ours still a year old but water is dripping inside our room for about 2 days now if we use it.

guys normal lang ba masira yung timer nang aircon,,,, 6 months palang dalawang beses nasira timer,,, pinalitan nila last febuary ngayon sira nanaman,,, yung di pihit na timer,,,, anu suggestion nyo papalitan ko nalang boung unit,,, sa abenson ko binili at saka naka 5 years extended warranty sya,,,, pwede pa kaya yan palitan,,, yung unit ko carrier mini window aircon .75,,,,

10years, Panasonic talaga gusto ko kaya lang medyo nag-dalawang isip ako kasi sabi nga ng clerk malambot daw yung kaha, and ipinipilit nya sakin yung condura or carrier brand...

i need your suggestions mga masters on both brand

Panasonic has better electrical components than Carrier/Condura particularly the solenoid. In my experience Panasonic AC's last 2x longer. One more thing, Panasonic is quieter with less vibrations.

Go for Panasonic, but I suggest you look at the Korean brands as well. Samsung and LG are gaining ground on the quality side.

The drain is probably clogged with dirt. When was the last time you had it cleaned? If you have access to the drain hose, check what's clogging it.

Any competent AC technician can easily fix it. The insides of Idec aircons are generic parts. Specially the capacitors and motors.

don't believe the sales persons. just google for actual reviews. You can't go wrong with Panasonic.

the minimum payment for Cleaning of Split Type ACs is 1000.

but it might go up depending on the location of the unit.

the price can also go down depending on how many units you want cleaned.

^My room is about 23sqm. According to the installer, 1.5hp is just about right. My room thermometer can go as cold as 23 degrees even if its blazing hot outside.

try to search for other a/c technicians. the ones who service my a/c units are charge me around 600-700 for our split type units.

A 2nd hand unit might fit your budget. Anyway, I might upgrade my Idec 1.5HP (bought it in 09) split type to an inverter. You might be interested.
