Hi Guys, my sister bought her son a new XBOX 360 Slim (4GB) Kinect (Asian Version) bundled with 2 games and a free 3 month gold membership. I created an XBOX Live Account for my nephew and when I try to redeem the code it asks that I change the language to Chinese duh? How can we redeem the free promo code?

Also can I create an Account using a Philippine Mailing Address? Please help. Sayang naman kasi ang 3 months gold membership free pa naman. TIA.

You probably have a Singaporean Xbox I think. I don't think you can use a Philippine mailing address since Xbox live is not supported here. A Singaporean mailing address might help but I don't know how to deal with the forced language switching unless you know someone who knows Chinese or find a site that can give you a step-by-step process on how to handle this. (Damned region-locking schemes. I really really hate them now. Nintendo 3DS and Monster Hunter are the two main reasons.)

It's really forcing you to switch to Chinese? Be aware if you ever get in, Live asks constantly for updates. Might be tricky if Live asks you for one in a language you can't understand. (I wouldn't know since we have a U.S. account and XBox) If handled incorrectly, you might end up bricking your Xbox. Mayhaps, someone with an Asian Live account here might help you better.

My 360's LAN port is having a hard time connecting to the Internet. I have two LAN cables already (got them from CDR-KING and Octagon). Octagon didn't work, length is 20m while the one from CDR King worked but I only got to use it two times. Both cables work though when tested on PC.

Is this already a sign of a LAN Port dying or has broken already? Has anyone experienced this?

ni recognize ata ng xbox live na set to "Hongkong" ang Locale ng console.

try selecting the third option from the top, and then press the A button.

The cable is connected physically to the unit, the latest update won't let you see the details unless the unit detects first that you have your LAN cable connected.

Wave 4 = pirated unit ba yan hehehe. Ingat lang may kaibigan akong black screen na lang ang xbox at hinihingi iyong pang boot.

360 can handle MP4. Been doing this through 360's Media Player connected to my PC. Just download the media codecs from Marketplace.

Good Evening, Xboxers!

Tanong ko lang sana kung ano kaya yung problema ng Power Brick ng 360 Slim ko (110v)....

Ginagamitan ko siya ng AVR ng computer kasi nga pang-110 yung console ko. Kaninag umaga, gumagana pa siya pero nung nilaro ng kapatid ko, pumutok daw yung AVR, sunog yung fuse. Sa 110V na slot naman daw niya sinaksak.
Sinubukan din niyang isaksak dun sa AVR ng computer niya, ganun di nangyari.

Bumili ako ng mga bagong fuse sa Handyman, gumagana naman yung AVR sa computer. Pero kapag sinaksak ko yung Power Brick lang ('di naka-plug sa console), namamatay yung power light ng AVR, sunog na naman yung fuse.

Ano kaya problema? Nag-google ako, meron palang mga Power Bricks na di na kailangan ng transformer (pwede sa 220 pati sa 110). Advisable kaya yung mga ganon?

^get a heavyduty AVR like OMNI (w/ servo motor control) with at least a 500w rating. Those computer AVRs won't work for some reasons I don't know.
