Ah yes, yung Fisherman's Friend halftime analysis and Romy K's Kaypee at the Half.

Ejected silang tatlo. After two years (1987), naging mag-teammate ang tatlo sa Ginebra.

and of course for Presto, "Caidic! Three Points!"

The famous 3 point shooters that time. I miss those days.

but...what would really bring the house down and make everyone crazy especially during a team's comeback was...

    "Jaworski! Three Points!!".

meron pa dude! kapag my foul:

    "Foul Paras.... PENALTY..." hehehehe!!

Tapos pag pang 6th foul na...

"Foul Paras.......Paras 6 fouls!!" (Palakpakan at hiyawan ngayon yung mga Anejo fans heheheh).

I also think during that time the coliseum barker also didn't say the names of the players whenever they made baskets. Di ba? kunwari ngayon, let's say James Yap made a basket...di ba sasabihin nung announcer (Jaaaaaameesss Yap!) ala-NBA style. Dati pag may nakakashoot...wala lang..hehehe..the coliseum announcer won't be saying their names. I think saying the Player's names whenever they made a basket was first done in the All-Star game, im just not sure what year it is.

Another Nostalgia thing: Remember the bands playing a short tune whenever their teams made a basket? and whenever a player converts a free throw attempt. I still can remember the tunes. These bands would be seen sitting on the highest section. I think now, the NCAA still does it.

Oh yes, I also loved watching the PBA live before because of the bands. Even Anejo had a brass band, kahit na malakas ang crowd nila. Who can forget the William Tell Overture/Lone Ranger theme played by the Shell band every time mag fast break sila, or SMB's She Boom She Boom. Tapos pag may nag foul out, Happy Birthday yung tinutugtog.

    ^^
Sorry off topic: Yung She-Boom She-Boom commercial ng SMB sina Bert Marcelo and Apo Hiking right? yung sa beach?

Yeah, I also remember Rachel Lobangco's "She-Boom She-Boom" commercial for San Miguel, starring the Apo Hiking Society. Then yung "Si Neneng, Anak ni Mang Teban" San Miguel commercial starring Star Querubin (who is now a lawyer), and 5 San Miguel players (Mon Fernandez, Alvin Teng, Dignadice, Samboy Lim, Calma).

Pag winning moments ng purefoods, yun banda nila puro Christmas songs. Sa san miguel may dalang cheerers. 2 lang ang cheer. "Get that ball" saka "shoot that ball"

Nun nag walk out yun anejo vs. shell, nagpalit ng barker. Ganun pa rin yun style (Foul... Gray). Pero boses matanda at tunog lata. Remember that guys?

Yeah. Grabe yung walk-out na iyon.

i was still a kid when we watched the GSM-SHELL finals at the ULTRA.. i can't remeber which year but it was the game where Distrito took that miracle shot over the outstretched arms of Paras.. the crowd really went wild!

    ^^
Who could forget that shot by Distrito? That was I think game 7 of the 1st conference finals between Ginebra and Shell. Im just not sure what year it is, 1991 or 1990 perhaps. That was the time Ginebra came back from the 3-1 deficit to win the championship. Ginebra's import that time was Jervis Cole, with his famous trademark of not dribbling the ball when he had to make his freethrows. Shell had Bobby Parks that time.

I still can remember, the day before that when Rudy Distrito was guessed on one of Nap Gutierrez's show called "Nap-Knock". When he was interviewed, he promised that he would make GInebra win over Shell. His promise turned out to be true.

kami sa Araneta coliseum..Shell vs. Ginebra..i forgot the year pero that game is vey famous then because of Ronnie Magsanoc Buzzer beater 3-pointer to beat Ginebra

  16. #56
The Shell-Ginebra finals were held twice - the first one in the 1990 Open Conference won by the Turbo Oilers on account of the walkout staged by Añejo Rum 65 in Game 6 of the tumultuous finals. Shell was ahead at that time, 52-37, 2 and a half minutes remaining in the first half when Rey Cuenco picked up his 5th foul and where all mayhem came loose.

The second was in the succeeding season's Open conference finals - Game 7 - the same one that saw the Rudy Distrito hail mary of a shot with a second remaining. Ginebra won that game 104-102 as Ronnie Magsanoc's three point attempt at the buzzer was blocked by 6'5 Ginebra import Jervis Cole. In that climactic game, Robert Jaworski ended up as the best player for the game with 13 markers, 6 boards and 7 feeds...
