Chris Paul is just unreal. He may well be the best PG in the league right now. David West has quietly become one of the best PFs in the league, and Tyson Chandler is a monster on the boards and on defense.
The problem with the Hornets is their bench, or lack thereof. The starters always have to play heavy minutes (Paul played all 48 minutes in today's win over Phoenix), and that can't be good as the season goes on.
I've been a fan of this team since the LJ/Zo days. It's great that they're doing so well right now, and finally getting some attention.
Paul is one of my favorite players. I hope he becomes an all-star this year.
I agree, right now, Chris Paul deserves somes MVP consideration. Look at his averages, 21 PPG, 4 RPG and 10 APG??? Damn thats just surreal. Not only that, his supporting cast is a damn good bunch.
West, although undersized as a PF, is a damn good scorer around the basket. Surely a keeper.
Peja, is well, Peja. When healthy, he still among the best shooters in the game.
Chandler is a defensive Center. Shotblocking and rebounding machine to say the least.
Mo Pete is a capable scorer in his own right. Also a pretty good 3 point shooter.
Bobby Jackson and Pargo are pretty solid too coming off the bench for coach Byron Scott.
And yeah, now they are tied with PHX for the second best record in the West. Who nows, they might come out on top the West. Whou could've expected it? The Hornets???![]()
Question: Have they beaten the Spurs already?![]()
more like a baron davis in his prime....
sayang yung last year, playoffs bound din sana if not sa injuries...
i miss na tawag nila eh NOK..
Chris Paul is the best PG in the NBA this season
Chris Paul is already a better passer, and a much better defensive player than Baron Davis at the age of 22.
Ang laro ni Paul is more like a Prime Isiah Thomas wag lang siyang mag sign ng contract sa New York Knicks kapag naging Free Agent na siya at baka magaya siya kay Stephon Marbury na biglang nasira ang career since ma trade sa Knicks.
Magiging all star si Chris Paul kasi sa New Orleans gaganapin ang NBA ALL STAR Game and mas deserving naman siyang maging all star compare kay Deron Williams na parang nawala sa radar simula ng magtatalo ang Utah Jazz sa Western Conference saka ang ganda ng stats niya mataas na points, assists, and isa sa mga league leaders sa steals.
Saka ang mas important ang New Orleans Hornets ang 2nd best team sa Western Conference saka may chance silang makuha ang no.1 seed kung mag remain silang healthy for the rest of the season.
this team can be consider as an elite team in the west..up ko lang..!!!...
Paul is on pace to become the first player in 15 years to average at least 20 points and 10 assists. How old is he?
Amazing.
amazing, they bamboozled the spurs...mabigat ito...sana pag home games madami sumuporta, kaya lang we have to bear with them siyempre priority pa rin is for new orleans na total recovery sa katrina...
New Orleans. They may look odd in the standings but they really deserve it. They are still about 2 to 3 men short in their rotation. Hopefully the can get a back up shooting guard in order to relegate Mo Pete to SF. However matanda na si Peja and Mo Pete maybe the free agency could help them in a while.
Center position too needs an addition. I wish they could get a veteran center. Elson or Moore would do. . . .
i'll 1 up you... Paul is on pace to become the first player ever to average 20 pts 10 assts and 3 stls in a season.
i think people had gone from slighting the hawks for not picking Paul to breathing a sigh of relief. a Smith-Paul-Johnson would be devastating.
I beg to differ. If Paul ends up going to New York, he'll actually lead them deep into the playoffs. Paul is a much better point guard and leader now than Marbury ever was, so going to New York won't destroy his career. If anything, he'll become a more celebrated player after he retires just for being the heart and soul of the Knicks.
^
OT:
Thomas and Dolan suck, but Paul can turn the franchise around even with those two around. Besides, Isiah is an incompetent GM and an inept motivator but he is a decent basketball coach. If the Knicks get Paul, they won't need Thomas to desperately try to get the guys on the same page because Paul can do that. That's how good I think Paul is.
Don't get me wrong. As a Knicks fan, I want Thomas and Dolan gone. But I have faith in Paul. Besides, if Thomas and Dolan are staying, we might as well get somebody like Paul.![]()
Back on topic:
The Hornets are on a rampage. Chandler must be really glad he's not in Chicago anymore.
Damn Hornets. Number one in the West right?
I heard the Birdman is attempting a comeback.

Bring him back to New Orleans! He can surely be of help.
