I'm gonna buy the Sony Cybershot DSC W55 digital camera this January 20. I went to the mall yesterday to look for digital cameras and this was the one that really caught my eye (especially the black one). I am no longer interested in the Casio Exilim.

its not just the camera... its the subject/places you take.

the w55 performs poorly on low-light situations, just a heads up.

First and 4th are not post processed, resized lang for flickr.

Second and 3rd post processed, meron kasing dust yung sensor daw ng camera ko so maraming parang dots sa upper right, i had to use Photoshop healing tool.

Third photo ginamitan ko ng Curves Mask para sa vignette effect, tapos desaturated a bit.

I changed my mind. I'm gonna but the Sony Cybershot DSC-T20 instead. Costs a little more than what I originally thought of buying, but, this one looks better.

i wanted to buy myself a digital camera before the holidays. i have no idea what specs to look for and what are the good brands. i have some friends and they all have sony (w80 and t20).

ang ***** ***** ko coz i didnt research muna sa internet. i went to hidalgo- kay mang ramon. akala ko, all that matters is that your cam should have high mp. ofcourse i was wrong.

i saw this brochure about olympus s790sw, shockproof and waterproof- bulletproof at anayproof isama na natin. 7.1 mp. at ang ganda ng colors. 13,500. sounds impressive if you dont know much about digital cameras like me.

sa tulong na rin ng pangungulit ng magaling kong gf, ayun, i was convinced to get one- yung blue.

i was happy at first, kasi may swimming kaming family, ang yabang ko pa telling them "hindi ito masisira! waterproof eto!" *may-naglalanding-na-helicopter-sa-lakas-ng-hangin effect*

days passed, i started to discover the downsides of this cam- colors not very vivid (those taken from my friends' sony are way much better, not to mention those from pictures some of the forumers posted), tapos wala rin nung parang viewer to see my subject at night (di ko alam ang tawag e). i'm sure there are other things i could whine about, hindi ko pa lang siguro nadidiscover. pero basta, im getting disappointed sa quality ng pics. it's not everyday that i go to swimming, you know.

hay naku, ayoko magpaka-emo. besides, nabili ko na siya. it's not really that bad. i still love it, coz i spent it with my hard-earned money.

I'm just thinking, I could have bought a much better cam for less than how much I've spent for the Oly. (Gulo ko no?)

La lang... just wanna share my story... at baka may iba jan na gustong pagaanin ang loob ko.

Well, if you really dislike your purchase that much, you can sell it online through ebay or sulit.com.ph. And since you purchased that in Hidalgo I assume the price is much lower than the ones they are selling in the malls. You can still get a good price for your camera.

ok lang yun tsong, rockstar ka pa rin. aralin mo na lang maigi yung camera mo, baka merong hidden features na kahit olympus eh hindi pa nadidiskubre. tipong may xray vision pala ito, di lang natin nalalaman. or bumawi ka na lang sa pagkuha ng magagandang shots.
mapa camera phone pa yan or point-en-shoot or DSLR, nasa may hawak pa rin yan. aralin mo lang yung basics ng photography (tamang komposisyon, rule of thirds, ilaw o kahit tahasang pagsalungat sa mga kumbensyon) hanggang sa kahit nakapikit ka'y superb pa rin ang mga kuha mo. sana gumaan loob mo.

Well, if you really dislike your purchase that much, you can sell it online through ebay or sulit.com.ph. And since you purchased that in Hidalgo I assume the price is much lower than the ones they are selling in the malls. You can still get a good price for your camera.

Yup, I was actually thinking about that, but I decided not to sell my things. Bili na lang siguro ako ng bago pag may budget na ulet.
