I can't acces my account online kagabi pa then hindi rin ako makapagwithdraw and balance inquiry sa atm machine ng bpi as well as sa other banks. anyone have experience this? what happen kaya close pa naman sila kasi holiday today.

I'm not sure, pero nung tinanong ko kasi kung pwede na (magpapapalit kasi ako ng ATM) ang tinignan yung parang average daily balance for one year (tama ba).

Siguro mga 4 years na rin ako dun sa branch ko na yun. Yung Pandacan RDM branch, maliit lang sya na branch din kasi. Hehe. Medyo nawiwindang nga sila sa mga pinapagawa ko sa kanila, like ito ngang preferred, pagkuha ng kung anu-anong investment account etc., kasi di daw nila usually ginagawa (or minsan ako first).

Pero in fairness sa kanila, hindi nila sasabihing wala sila nung product na yun. Ang ginagawa nila ni-e-escalate nila kapag hindi nila magawa or di sila familiar. Kaya oks din.

I tried calling BPI Branches, it seems dapat may 300k na deposit ka sa kanila or either 3 different products. Before nila i-consider ang pagiging preferred status mo.

Halos wala na akong savings sa BPI, ipinapasok ko lahat sa UITF. Kino-consider din kaya yon sa preferred banking?

I think depende uli dun sa tao (or kung pano ang interpretation nila?). Kasi sabi nung iba considered din daw ang investments. Pero dun sa branch ko, ang tinignan is per account as it is (well parang ganun ang nangyari).

Meron akong Checking account din kasi, but when I asked if the money in that account is also counted or combined with my Savings account in being considered for preferred, hindi daw. Parang kung yung Savings ko umabot dun sa limit nila, go na.

Better siguro i-ask na lang sa mismong bank, nakakalito >_<

They consider your investments as part of the relationship, but the balance requirements for investments are larger than for deposits.

well, here's my question regarding the preferred client. i've been upgraded to preferred i think november of last year. before the end of this year, i'm having a huge expenses which might left my maxi saver (my preferred acct) at only 50k. what will happen after that? will they send me the blue card again? and untag me as preferred?

AFAIK, your preferred status will not be dropped, just keep your Average Daily Balance (ADB) within the acceptable range.

The question is, what is the acceptable range. I guess it also depends where your banking relationships are.

For BPI their ADB is higher compared to BPI Family Savings Bank (FSB).

well, im planning to have an ADB of 50k, that is the minimum requirement for the maxi saver to earn an interest. i just want to keep the gold card.

oooh tanong ko rin yan. Plano ko kasi ilipat yung pera dun sa mga investment accounts (I mean come on, nandun lang sya sa Savings? syempre indi). Tuwing kelan ba ang review ng pagiging preferred? Yearly ba? Monthly?

Yes you can wait for it, it won't take more than 30 minutes, you can go to any BPI Branch.
Parang may bayad ata na P100 (or sa Metrobank yun) sabay kasi ko kumuha.

Isa pa palang tanong, yung amount ba na nilalagay ng BPI sa Certification ay yung amount na nasa account sa araw na iyon, or may cut-off date?

Yes, ang nakalagay ay yung current na laman nung account mo on the day you request for the bank certificate.

As far as I recall, tatanungin ka din kung ilalagay yung Average Daily Balance pero you can opt to not have it included.
