anyway, what do you mean by planning to stay there at 1 year? hehe..

OnT: I used to work at BSP. Not in the same field as yours though, so I used to be in a different department. I heard na maraming from SGV peeps na andun. Workload: Madami. As in weekends (sat and sun) nagtatrabaho ako sa bahay.madalas pumapasok ako sa office ng sabado. (sa dept namin yun; don\'t know sa other dept). Culture: Shempre gov\'t; expect na mapulitika Nasa iyo na iyon how you will adapt to the culture. Benefits: Sobrang ok.

All in all, as far as I can say, challenging ang work dito and madami kang matututunan. Expect na ma-OT siya. hehe..

how do you apply sa BSP? walk-in ba? Na-curious lang hehehe

  7. #7
mas maganda yata may backer dito. May kilala ako na mag-sstay lang sa auditing firm for less than a year tapos lilipat na daw siya BSP. may "tita" daw siya dito. so i guess ganon nga ang lakaran dito. I applied for an auditor position with BSP, pero dinedma lang nila

to kotsch: i mean planning to stay in SGV for a year or until busy season ends. talaga, ma-OT din dun? yun pa naman ang ayaw ko kaya nga i can't stay longer pa sa auditing firm... anyway, san dept ka? sana sa accounting side, hindi ma-OT. hehe. what do you mean sobrang ok yung benefits?

to paggi10: really, bookkeeper 35000? tapos yung cpa 25000? parang dapat baliktad haha. ma-OT din kaya sa accounting dept? what do you mean sobrang ok yung benefits?

    thanks!

  9. #9
paggi10, yang salaries ba na yan for newly grads? how about pag experienced na?

To Juntrix: ok lang mag walk in but just like what amirah said, mas better kung may kakilala ka sa loob para masabihan ka agad ng openings. In my case kasi friend of a friend of a friend (layo na no? hehe) ang nagsabi na may opening sa field ko. Pero take note, wala sa website nila yung job opening for that position. Kasi mandated yata yun by the Civil Service Commission na kailangan pag may idadagdag kang tao o bagong position e may kaukalang job opening na pinost para dito. something like that

to philo: I'm from IT dept. Benefits are ok kasi i believe they are offering good retirement benefits to their employees. They have good medical benefit as well and they have other allowances to offer such as transpo, meal, rice subsidy, etc. And loans can be easily availed if in case you want to purchase a house or car.

    @philo_buff

  17. #17
so i need a backer... hehe. marami kasi kong professors sa economics nung college na sa BSP din nagwowork, probably i could ask for their recommendation. i would research pa on the working condition sa bsp... if ma-OT din ba... ganon. kasi, the reason i'll be leaving SGV talaga is because of time and energy, although i would admit that i learn a lot. actually kahit di pa 1 year ang stay ko sa SGV, marami na kong nahandle at natutunan. but i wouldn't want to risk almost all of my time and energy only for work.

  18. #18

  19. #19
i think you don't need a backer if your a CPA. they are constantly looking for a bank examiner. and i think they are in need of IT peeps. Walk-in lang or send your resume on-line. what they are posting in there website are a true vacant positions. Medyo matagal lang talaga ang process and of course marami competition.

i knew a lot of people who get hired on there own, meaning without backers. with regards to workload, i think it depends on what department you'll be in. :-)

  20. #20
isla ka pala paggi10. hehe. actually, di pa naman ako nauubusan talaga ng energy, siguro by jan-april baka maubusan na haha. let's see where the busy season takes us. akala ko kasi before sa audit firm, di naman exage talaga yung OT... pero now i know nung pumasok ako. haha. just need some training, and off i go. haha

to jaz_rina: thank you for the response. how's the salary there? if i'll be going into the finance/accounting dept, basta yung related sa economics/accounting courses ko, how much kaya pay? maOT kaya sa dept na yun?
